describ your personal max airtime experience!!

hey fellow buzzers...as a big fan of hypers, i thought id ask people to share they're most incredible airtime experiences on a coaster...not which coaster offers the most, as this is forbidden in the rules, but your best experience...mine was Apollos Chariot...one time i had a good few inches of room, and i swear, i spent a good 60% of the ride floating.....freakin awesome!!!!  Nitro had some sweet little pops in it too....so go on..share about your time "in the air"....:)

ROLLERCOASTERS....BETTER THAN OXYGEN BABY!!!!!!
For floating air time it would have to be AC or S:TE.

For forceful air time, it would be without a shadow of a doubt PR.

Raging Bull, Don't Fight It, Ride It

Well, for the most time in the air (floating) I must say S:TE (that's so impressive) but my ulimate max airtime experience at a coaster is at "The Mighty Canadian Minebuster" at Paramount Canada's Wonderland, although a not very tall wooden coaster it is really fast through all the ride and is a perfect Out and Back ride, so like a 50% or 60% of the ride you are in the air, MAX AIRTIME!!!

Hey CoasterSaurus...what AC???
PM I suppose is Phantom's Revenge.

best air time: last row of Raging Bull.  but that probably because I haven't ridden many coasters.  also, V2 has some nice air on that back spike.  that the whole reason I love it!

I'm not sure if I've ever experienced floating air.  I dunno, maybe I'm being naive.

The King of the Airtime has to be.......Superman Ride Of Steel at SFNE! IT IS    "Sir Air"
Yup, SFNE is the king of Airtime and was knighted as soon as it opened as "Sir Air" For airtime there is nothing that compares to SFNE, ejector or floating.

That would be Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

My favorite airtime moment is the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood.  PR is pretty good for intense air.  I do realy like the air on ST.  IMO though, Magnum is still just like wow , night rides are so awesome.

Hypersonic XLC

-----------------
Hypersonic XLC is # 1

most floater airtime: Big Shot (that will change soon with S:TE when i ride it)

most ejector airtime: Ghostrider or Perilous Plunge

"It was sure nice of Mr. Crab to give me a job here!" "And he was sure nice to start you off at $50 an hour! When i started, i had to pay Mr. Crab $100 an hour!"

my first ride on NITRO was the best. i had a good amount of room between me and the restraint and it was great! on the third hill i was launched out of me seat,i had to put my arms down cause i had the feeling of being thrown out and it freaked me out. it was incredible. i was in the 5th row for that. best air i ever had,so far....
Steel: Raging Bull, at night, last row, loose lapbar (as loose as they will allow).

Wooden: Timber Wolf, at night, last row, loose lapbar, loose seatbelt. Outta control !

Oh yeah, the 2nd hill on Wild Thing features awesome floater airtime too !

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) Timber Wolf
Steel: 1) Raging Bull 2) Millennium Force 3) V2 4) Wild Thing 5) Mr. Freeze

Magnum, and Kennywood's Jack Rabbit.

This really is a GREAT America

When it comes to airtime, its all about the Jackrabbit.
Many here haven't been on this ride, so let me explain.

It isn't very tall, and you can't see much of the ride while waiting in the queue.
So I think that a lot of people don't know what they are getting themselves into with this ride.
When I went on it while on vacation, I didn't tell my family this rides little secret.
Lets just say they were surprised on that double dip! ;)
Honestly, the only restraints are a leather strap that goes across the car. :)
You feel like you are going to literally fly out of the car. It feels like you are even with the top of the car while being ejected on this drop.
I have never and probably will never get airtime like that again, but this ride defines airtime as I know it!

There is also Ghostriders ejector seat drop, which has some excellent airtime as well. :)
Ghostrider is cool because it also has an abundance of floating airtime as well. It is an all around great ride in terms of airtime!

Knotts Halloween Haunt!!
29 years and still screaming.

I think I may have to agree with coasterfanmatt.  While I do love the 5 or 6 seconds of floaty air on Millennium Forces 3rd hill, as with the ejection and float of Magnum's 3rd hill, those are not really surprising.
When I rode jack rabbit for the first time I was taken off by the pretty pastel colors of the train and the relatively dull first half. I was sitting in the back with my hands up minding my own business when the double down came up and It felt like I was about to be thrown out the back so I tried the grab the bar. It was to late however and the bar banged and scraped up my knee before the belt finally caught me. I was happy to bleed later from that .
Also at Kennywood on Phantoms revenge I knew the double down was coming but did not anticipate the sheer wickedness of it. I ended up hit they guy sitting in front of me in the head with my arm when we came down.
Still there is another one which I can't talk about here which may take the cake

The most airtime I've ever had was on Ghostrider just last month.  I was sitting in the front seat, something I hadn't done yet.  I could basically call the ride I had the first "stand-up" wooden coaster ride I've taken!  ;)  The airtime was so abundant, floating, ejector, it was awesome.  The best ride I've ever had on a coaster, except for my first ride on Hulk!  ;)

Rollercoaster lovers do it in the front seat!
Last weekend I "discovered" the air on S:TE. I hadn't ridden in a while because, quite frankly, I never wanted to wait more than 15 minutes. Well, last Friday my friend and I went on it. This time we had our lap bars up a little, something I learned to do last year. When we got to the top, it was OUT OF THE SEAT! I didn't touch the seat until we got to the bottom of the hill. NOW I know why they say it's 6.5 secons of weighlessness. Goodness gracious I was out of the seat for so long! That would have to be the most floating air I've gotten
As for forceful air...it has to be the violently beautiful third hill on SROS at SFA.

hey saviourmachine.....youre not kiddin about that third hill on SROS..the one after the first helix right???  oh man, that think shoots you like a cannon...hehe :)

ROLLERCOASTERS....BETTER THAN OXYGEN BABY!!!!!!
I remember Jack Rabbit having a lot of airtime but I rode the Dania Beach Hurricane last weekend and I couldn't believe how much airtime it had!  The seatbelts are in that ride for a reason!
