Defuctional Rides

Can anyone list fav defuct rides that they you have ridden in your lifetime? I'm doing this for a report in English...and for general interest!

Mine would have to be from Geauga Lake the little blimp ride and Corkscrew which I beleive is an Arrow Looping Coaster. *** Edited 5/2/2005 2:56:51 AM UTC by DC2Beltz3***

Since this is for an English project, you might want to keep in mind that the word is defunct, with an "n" between the "u" and "c," and no "ional" at the end.

Do you mean dysfunctional or defunct?
Here's a piece of advice for your report. Don't use the word defuctional in a report for your english class.

Are you referring to rides that no longer exist, like Drachen Fire? Or rides that are removed from a park, but have been moved to a different park? Because that Corkscrew still exists, although half way around the world in India. The Corkscrew was an Arrow product.

Guys I think he was going for "Defunct".

At least, that's what I'm getting out of it.

LOL, RavenTTD, I've been on one that definitely qualifies under both criteria....the old Windstorm model at Rye, named Hurricane. I normally *love* Windstorms, not that Piece of...Steel. Ouch!

Other defunct rides I've ridden that I can think of offhand:
King Cobra, PKI
RC-48, Morey's
Greased Lightnin, Anton shuttle, PGA
Shockwave, SFGAm
Wizard's Cavern, Casino Pier

I am sure there are some others, esp. from the Mid-Atlantic, but that's what I can think of right now...

edit: LOL, I forgot Herc-and-Jerk, the most forgettable of woodies...;)

re-edit: Not really *defunct* but too close for comfort: LeSourdsville Lake and it's phenomenal bird of prey...and the two steelies there...

LOL, re-re-edit: WoF's Orient Express...

re-re-re-edit: Runaway Ore Cart, SDC....hoping for a relocation at CC though...;)

bill, obviously bored at work, it IS a Friday...

Yeah, I think dysfunctional rides would make a much more fun topic, but it probably is defunct rides...and a dysfunctional report. ;)
Maybe he should just torch the top of the paper before turning it in...
AH-HA! Trogdor STrikes Again!

sorry...

... must... not... mention...

*pulls hand off keyboard*

Tidal Wave @ SFGAm! We rode it 17 times in succession (no lines, man) when I was a kid!

...arms up, legs out, now SCREAM!...
Ok, I'll add the kick here, please add a coaster you think is dysfunctional and defunct! ;) Lets see...dysfunctional....i'd have to say....SoB! j/k LOL! :)
-King Cobra @ PKI
-Python @ SFA
-Viper @ SFGAdv (soon to be gone)
-Steel Phantom @ Kennywood (well, it's changed enough)

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

That's too easy. Windjammer! ;)

Yeah is Good!
I was hoping for them to be listed separately, but that works too, you may list in both manners! ;) *** Edited 5/2/2005 2:57:44 AM UTC by DC2Beltz3***
pirate ride at CP

Rotor at CP

flying eagles at PKI

these are all the rides i can remember

TTD was built, TTD was broke, TTD is alive.

Dysfunctional and defunct list

Viper (SF GAdv)
Hercules (Dorney)
RC-48 (Moreys)
Jack Rabbit (Clementon)

Dystfunctional but not defunct

Shockwave (GAdv) now Batman The Escape (SFAW)
Ultra Twister (GAdv) now at SFAW also

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm send Viper there instead?

AW may be GAdv's graveyard?

Watch the tram car please....
Lol...but the rides are still running at AW and it's a fairly popular park...so I wouldn't say it's a "graveyard"...perhaps a nursing home, or a half-way house? Perhaps it's just a "second chance" place...who knows?

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Well considering I own defunction, I thought I better have my say in this.

Wonderlands "The Demon" or your probably more common with the name "Zoomerang" at visionland.
