I have never seen a coaster like this come to CW EVER, and this is how you guys approach the excitement for us. Maybe you can just let it unfold itself for us and A, B, C your way out of this thread.

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.
Bum, bum, bum!

HAZZOOLAH!
Looks like Goliath (SFOG)

348' http://www3.cedarfair.com/canadaswonderland/jobs/jobs_description.cfm?emp_id=1964

On this link:

http://www3.cedarfair.com/canadaswonderland/#actions

the height meter on the right side was 12 of 46 lit with a total current height of 29 feet about 30 minutes ago so that translated to a total of 190.5 if it went up at an even amount. Now it is 12 of 46 lit with a total current height of 58 feet and that would be a total of 222.33 if it were going up at a consistent rate. It is going up faster than that and the job listing is for 106m up which is 348'. *** Edited 8/22/2007 4:39:36 PM UTC by RavenTTD***

^And there we have it! (I even understood it.)
;)

Great Lakes Brewery Patron...

That looks awfully similar to La Ronde's Goliath...
^That's the first thing that popped into my head as well. The turn around actually seems to more closely resemble the SFoG version though.

I'm stoked! can't wait

I have some more pictures of the construction area in my trip report on this site if you guys are interested.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

What if its Nitro but bigger. I thnk it will be.

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.
I'll be very surprised if this is anywhere near 300 feet (or at least a 300 foot drop- isn't there a hill where people are assuming the station will rest?)... that's great that canada is getting something. *** Edited 8/23/2007 12:06:50 AM UTC by fearandloathing***

You've gotta protect your Flash files. What an embarrassment.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
The height meter on that CW teaser site now has 16/46 bars lit with a total height of 87 feet which would total 250 feet if it were going up in even amounts which is obviously not the case. It looks like this is going to be one tall coaster.

It's 175 feet tall.

Just change the date on your computer to August 27 and then visit the CW site. :)

Consider me Satan himself. :)

OPE! Gonch, you would think it would take more than that to figure it out before then, no? LOL

I've always wondered... why build a Coaster at 175 feet, when you're 25 feet away from 200. 200 feet incorporates a whole new aspect to market from.

Is it a 175' invert?

The new graphic (or at least the graphic from the future) is Patriot from WoF.
