CP's Deuling Flyers?

Screamscape is reporting that CP is looking into getting a deuling dragons type ride, except with flyers.

In my opinion, that would be more popular than dragster. What do you guys/girls think?

I would think so. A lot more reliable too.

I have yet to ride a B&M flyer. If they are more ridable than the Vekoma version, then cool!

Personally, I'd rather see duelling Schwartzkopf shuttle loops. Let's see, the old Tidal Wave is available...any others?

Adueling coaster would be great, except the flyer concept seems to be like the standup of r the 00's. (not 80s or 90s, but today. Anyone figure out the term for that?)
How about the Nought-ies? lol

where is PKD's King Kobra? isn't it lying disassembled at some other paramount park? you could probably pick up a couple of these cheap and ... uh ... melt them down for scrap metal ... and then buy a cool rollercoaster.

jan... I have ridden Vekoma and B&M and I enjoy the B&M a lot more than the Vekoma any day.

I think that CP's next B&M will be a flier but I am not sure that they will do a dueling. But CP never lets us down and always comes up with something new. I am not rulling it out just thinking cautiosly on that rumor.

My dad likes to use "the two Os", which is kinda clever if you think about it.

You know, not that I have anything relevant to add to any of these posts. ;)

Sounds like a cool idea with a lot of potential, but I think the Flyer concept needs to be cleaned up a bit and the kinks worked out before we take it on such a grand scale. Three or four years later, and the B&Ms and Vekomas alike still do have their share of operational concerns.

Screamscape rumors are to be taken with a massive, HUGE grain of salt. They said Wicked Twister was 400+ feet tall.

Part of me can see them going with a flyer in the future, but not dueling.

I for one, hope CP doesn't get a flyer. They are still condidered by many to be a short lived Gimmick. See previous threads here for feelings on that.

Wow if they did build deuling flyers then CP would actually be the first at something. ( other than heights record or speed record)

I don't like the idea at all. Cedar Point has more than enough roller coasters (yet not very that I like) and the atmosphere of the place has really changed because of it.

I'd be more excited to hear that they were planting a bunch of trees.

How about a coaster made out of living trees so that the profile changes every year? Heck, they could even market it as "now bigger and better!" ;)

Wow. Where did this creative idea come from? One flyer, yes. Two sounds like someone from Ohio visited IOA and let his imagination run loose.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

Speaking of trees I think a wood coaster would do the park the best. Not a record breaker but a ride like Ghost Rider located behind Wicked Twister and that curves into the parking area. forming an L shape.

...or a GCI racing/dueling coaster ala Gwazi.
^ ... but there is no room! (Sorry, I just had to.)

I don't think the flyers are that big of concern. With a few new designs (i.e. elements), most people here would be singing a different tune.

Id much rather they do it with a floorless or just standard sit down B&M. I imagine loop/meets where one is upside down and the other upright with your heads and hands only a few people apart.

Chuck, who's not a big Beemer fan but they have their moments :)

There is plenty of room ( when they demolish MS, lol)

CP has a space problem. THey only have room for another 10 or 15 until they need to remove soemething.

For proof look at Hershey Park and Morey's Piers. CP has LOADS of room.

Isn't CP sinking?
