Time will tell the truth, yes, but I dont stop onto this site consistantly to see if an official announcement has been made yet. It's called coasterbuzz for a reason.

Actually a few of us GTTP'rs have a nickname already for it. However, I'm not able to share it since this is a family site.

Your joking! Bull(insert nickname here) :)

I too battled the winds and rain this weekend. I got some good video of the construction area and got to see what is going on first hand. I should have some videos up soon. Here are some of my observations:

1.) The track pieces assembled in the area are definitely for the vertical slope upward towards the tower structure.

2.) It is possible that the track colors might be alternating red/white. I know it seems very tacky, but you never know. I still personally think the all or most of the tophat will be white, the launch red, and I still think there will be some blue track surface once the current track is assembled. This thing is screaming a patriotic name. Remember, CF has been very patroitic as of late and I definitely see this attraction as being a tribute to 9/11.

3.) This mother is gonna be HUGE. From scoping out the tower supports, I would say its about 1/3 assembled, which would put it well over 300 feet when complete.

4.) I think the drop off of the tower will take the track into that huge trench being formed by the lake being drained, therefore taking the drop to the rumored height of around 420 feet.

5.) From talking to some of my contacts, the announcement should come in the next 30-45 days. Thats as specific as they would get.

I saw a group of coasterphiles in the pizza place next to Undertaker U. Were there any CBuzzers in that group? I got 4 rides on MF on Friday (no line) and 1 on Saturday (1hr+wait).

Also, I agree about the 3rd train. It sat empty on the brake run pretty much everytime I saw it. Their dispatches were running in the 3-5 min range...not too good for the park with the best ops.

Also, I must commend CP on their swift dispatch times on WT. I honestly didn't think they could get it under 2 mins, but they were cycling somewhere close to 1:30. GOOD JOB! Well, running the trains only 3 times through the course helps get those numbers

I now declare Cedar point as "America's Trimbrakes on Drops Coast"!!!

Magnum Lead op-"Welcome back, how was your ride????..... Awesome...." Man, I bet she says that in her sleep. On one cycle, someone slapped her thumbs up hand and she literally freaked out. When the train came back into the station, she repeatedly said "next time, please don't touch me for safety reasons..." This weekend I will be at the park that actually encourages high fives when dispatching

Finally... World's of Adventure was definitely NOT a good experience for us on Sunday. Things haven't changed their much unfortunately.

So what you are telling me is that the station will be seven stories off the ground. Does that make any sense to you? I know that the park likes to do gimmicky things, but placing the station 70 feet off the ground so that your coaster can be 420 feet tall seems not only silly but also a serious waste of money.

This is how S:TE claims it's record. The station is on top of the hill in the center of the park. The tower is off the side and has a 70' tall base. The ride height is significantly lower than the height of the tower.

Chris I was one of the coasterphiles. Magnum Dan, KicksTheSky, Micheal Durling, Robodud, Raven-Phile, and myself were all sitting together.

Someone mentioned they thought you were there. I think you rode WT on the same dispatch as us.

True. The maximum height difference it can acheive is 320 feet. Almost a 100 feet less thenn the "height"!

My physics imput... In 2000 on, many things have changed the laws of physics. Coasters will someday change the laws of physics, i mean they did with launches. Freefall is approximatly 110 mph if u drop something say 1000 feet. If anyone wanted something to exceed 110 miles per hour, u would have to use force, why a launch is possible to go as fast as u want to a certain extent. Now the height of the hill, have any of you learned ANYTHING from every coaster built. Almost every coaster with several exceptiongs, heights of hills are larger than drops. If you look the track will usually never make contact with the ground that the supports make, allowing u to know that if this is a 420 foot coaster, the hill will not be 420 feet, a maximuum of 400 for a 420 foot hill.

Anyone that thinks 420 feet and 110 miles per hour is impossible is wrong! I don't know what i just proved since i am repeating much of the info, but hey, i need to get my vote in on this baby.

See you cedar point in 2003!

From pictures I have seen that show some of the structure already going vertical, it is going to be a big coaster, becuase it is almost as high as Geminies first drop, and that is just one section of supports, but then again, what if it isent a record breaker what if it is a Xlr8er type coaster with the same type of design (a clone),but oh yea this is Cedarfair not sixflags... we will just have to wait and find out.Im sure whatever it is it will have 90% of us down there by its first seasons end.

It would make sense though. A 420 ft 120 MPH dualing coaster what would that mean. . .

Superman at SFMM is stripped of all of its records and SFMM unless they build 2 also is stripped of any hope to hold the most coasters record, CP would hold nearly every coaster record in the book. I'm not saying it is going to happen but it would be a great plan wouldn't it
