I'd still want to try the other side though.
(Oh come on, SOMEONE had to make the reference... )

If you WALK the tracks.....no. If however, you take your SegWay scooter on the lift, ramp it over the top, and let it "coast" on a defunct ride, you not only get to count it as a credit, you'll probably get a free ride on a helicopter....to the nearest ER of course. Who knows, if you're LUCKY enough to survive the ride unscathed, you might end up in the back of a paddy wagon instead...(another ride without any *credit*, LOL)....
The helicopter ride "credit" sounds fun. If I manage to survive and do it all again but get picked up by another kind of helicopter, do I get two credits?
This is all so confusing, so I'm going to head over to rcdb.com and look at all the coasters with pictures. Looking at pictures versus actually riding them... what's the difference? I figure I can increase my count to at least six or seven hundred easily.
It only counts as one, but its a hard credit to get ;)

I haven't ridden Top Thrill Dragster but I know enough about it to imagine what a ride might be like.
<imagining myself on Dragster>
Ding! My count just went up to 332. Sweet! At this rate I should be closing in on 1,000 by midnight!

Actually, I have a bunch of Badnitrus and No Limits recreations on my hard drive, so I can take ride on those and count them. To think... I can start counting defunct coasters.

So then I really can tell everyone I was with Janet Jackson and Halle Berry @ the same time?
Luckiest Man ever.
Actually, when I invent the first Holodeck, I'll let you all count every coaster you ride in it as a credit, if we're doing it this way:). *** Edited 4/30/2004 5:00:02 AM UTC by TeknoScorpion***
1) "Borrow" a shopping cart from your local Home Depot (any cart will actually do, but the orange plastic ones from Home Depot look the coolest). While you are there, buy a roll of duct tape.
2) Find a rather large hill. It can't be any hill... it must be very steep and have a few trees and/or rocks scattered on it. A stone wall, brick wall, or strong wooden fence at the bottom is a plus.
3) Take the shopping cart to the top of the hill and climb in... not in the little Kiddie seat, but in the main part of the cart. Have a friend wrap the duct tape around the cart to keep you from falling out.
4) Have that same friend then give you a gentle push to send you over the side of the hill. Don't worry if your cart tips over on the way down, this is actually desired.
5) Your cart will then plummet down over the side of the hill, smashing into every tree and rock on the way down. You will be tumbling over and over several times and generally getting the snot beat out of you. You may black out a few times. You may sustain several broke bones and a concussion.
6) at the bottom you will come to a smashing halt when you hit the wall or fence.
7) Have your friend meet you at the bottom and pull the duct tape off of the cart, thus freeing you. Your friend can give you a hand out of the cart and stablize you as you stagger away. As a precaution, you may want to borrow 2 carts... one for the "ride" and one to be carted away in afterward.
IF you do this... You can then gain credit for the defunct Steel Phantom on your track record considering that the ride experiences are so similar.
IF you are not that ambitious (or live in the great plains, Florida, or any other place where large, steep, tree and rock strewn hills are not available), simply take the shopping cart to the second floor of any building, have a friend duct tape you in and then push you out the 2nd story window so that you will simply plummet to the pavement below... You can get credit for riding a Chance Toboggan this way.

What if I already rode Steel Phantom? Can I count that as a NEW coaster credit?
As far as counting it if you already have a Steel Phantom credit...
If you would take the cart into Kennywood and use the hillside that the Steel Phantom was built on, then no, you can't. If you use any other hill, you could (it is a relocated Steel Phantom).
But that does bring up an interesting thought... IF you would get that cart past Kennywood security and have it pushed down over the hillside Steel Phantom sat on, you could easily hit a few supports to Phantom's Revenge. IF this is the case, I suppose you could actually count it. Since they would follow the same path, you could claim that it was racing Phantom's Revenge and could count it as one half of a racing coaster. *** Edited 4/30/2004 1:43:42 PM UTC by SLFAKE***
Near my girlfriend's house, the twisty road goes over this railroad embankment and if you hit it at just the right speed and at just the right angle, you get an amazing pop of airtime (seatbelts off for a few seconds is the way to go). I'm wondering if that counts?
