ProgRay, you are correct. Back up what I said. My next Point trip was 1984, and I love Ocean Motion, since I rode Kennywood's many times prior. Thanks for the correction.

I decided to bring this topic back up instead of starting a new one.

It had been a while since i have heard anything new about Geauga Lake.
So i was wondering if anyone heard anything new about the late Geauga lake.

Have they sold the land yet?
Any new pictures of the old land?

Since this is a continuation of a thread from 2 years ago, let me summarize the thread and get people caught up to date:

"This was a conspiracy from the start. Cedar Fair only bought GL so they could close it down. They never had any intention of giving the poor park a fighting chance. CF intended to shut the park down the minute they bought it....Blah, blah....Whine, whine....It's just not fair....more whining."

I just saved you from having to read the previous 27 pages of the thread. :) ;)

It would be interesting to see if everyone kept their word about not visiting another Cedar Fair park in protest, I suspect most have not.

What is left standing at the park? Have they decided to do anything with the Big Dipper?
