Yay. I'm glad. I was telling Jen about how neat of a place it was. Now I'll get to show her.

Yeah, but if you were really happy, Mike, you would have put 20 happy faces. Just saying.

Lol. I can't tell if you guys are hilarious or just jerks. Probably both :)

I lived in central PA, and never went. Maybe it's time I go.

So the next question is, when will they get Erieview's Herschell dark ride up and running? (I seem to remember it was called Fright Zone, but I'm not positive.) I'm guessing this is more of a long term project. If I recall correctly, they bought the cars, track and props at the auction, but not the building.

Man, am I excited. Considering how hard things have been for the economy in general, and given how many parks have been closing in recent years, this is like watching a flower pop up through the snow. Only hope it survives.

Conneaut is a charming little park. OK, so Blue Streak may not be open this year...I realize for some enthusiasts that's a deal-breaker. Still, I urge anyone travelling through the area to visit Waldameer, Kennywood, or Cedar Point to please make it a point to stop at the park, if only for a few hours, and give them some of your money.

I'm definitely going to attempt to get the family there this summer. Waldameer is a given, it looks like Kennywood on Memorial Day weekend, but I'll find time to squeeze CLP in. I have yet to ride Blue Streak in the Vettel train, but hopefully next year. I'm the only one out of the 4 of us that has been there when it was open. My wife was not impressed by what she saw in the dead of winter a few years ago, but we'll see how it goes. I nice warm summer afternoon to evening trip sounds good to me!

You have disturbed the forbidden temple, now-you-will-pay!!!

Added to our CP, Kennywood, Waldameer Trip :) The atmosphere of the park alone is worth the price of addmission. Oh wait. Thats free. I'll ride something, Probably the Bug and Flyers and maybe, possibly the ever elusive Toboggan thats been closed everytime. Hope to see Grandma! Shes the bestest!Chuck

So you were right! ;)

(this thread was getting too happy for me to stomach)

Hmmm, looks like I might get that Conneaut/Waldameer visit I didn't make back in 05.

And Gonch, we know you're just a big old softie behind the tough guy facade.

No he's not! He's a pimp in a pimp hat . . . with a woman's leg draped over his shoulder. ;)

I find I spend most of my time suppressing the urge to kill. :)
