If Universal didn't bother trying to find a home for Dueling Dragons

In fairness the Dragons were reported to be end-of-life, which seems reasonable given that Hulk was retracked not too long before.

I would be surprised if the same was true of Primeval Whirl given that the very first Reverchon model, a prototype unit, is still on the road in France.

I’d think that Disney would have removed them immediately so as not to call attention and to get them out of the public eye. Or are they ok with unsightly and unavailable attractions sitting around?

Ha! True, but once again, not an easy or inexpensive demo.

The park could have been waiting for the budget to remove the ride. That area could be getting a revamp and the cost to remove the coaster might have been factored into that projects budget. Sounds silly but that is exactly how some large projects are planned and why some rides, structures, buildings sit unused for so long. It doesn't matter how hard or easy it is to remove something or if its in guest view, it comes down to cost.

Not even cost; it's not as though Disney lacks the money or the manpower to do the demolition. But everything is project based, and the project has to be requested, approved, scheduled and funded before it can happen. They have an army of bean counters who justify their jobs doing this stuff.
