Coasting For Kids 2015: Save the date!

Will be finishing up with a last hour on HYDRA (blech) one week from this moment! Still accepting donations if anyone wants to help out this wonderful organization called Give Kids The World! The link is in my signature. Either today or tomorrow is the last day. Muchas Gracias to the two very generous Buzzers who came through with big-time donations.

If there is anyone with extra funds looking to donate to a Coasting for Kids page, I could use all the help I can get. I've been super busy with the recent addition of twins to the family, and just got around to registering this past weekend. Thank you!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news (especially as someone with half a face in your avatar), but I believe you had to raise the $75 minimum by this past Monday to participate. :-/

You can continue to raise all the way up to the event. There are just no guarantee of prize availability after the 1st. In years past, if you hadn't raised the minimum by the event, they let you donate the remaining portion then. I make no guarantees that this is still the case. But, I don't see why they wouldn't take your money. It's the whole point of the event. Some parks even had GP paying to participate. The specific example I recall was Kings Island IIRC.

Ah, that sounds familiar, and would make sense. She did reference having some extra prizes on hand for those who reach the milestones this week.

I made one last Facebook push this morning in the hopes of tying my total from last year, and as usual a bunch of friends came out of the woodwork. $175 later, I've set a new personal record! Here's hoping the thunderstorms pass us by...

You probably all have the same email, but in case you don't the schedule at Cedar Point has changed slightly. Rougarou and Millennium Force have switched places.

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Rougarou
9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Wicked Twister
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Millennium Force
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Gemini

Bryan, congratulations on raising so much! (Looked up the contributions for Cedar Point.) Don't know how you and some others did it. I've been campaigning since February and have managed to raise only $125.

Last I heard, the total for the event was around $157,000... that's awesome! Thank you everyone who participated, and to the parks for their hard work.
