Coasting For Kids 2014

Here I was going to get all indignant and say "Wait a minute, I gave you $10!" but then I checked again, and I actually donated to RyannLee's page since hers was the last post in that thread. Well whatever -- you now have $10 at least. ;)

Edit: I haven't tried to enter any offline donations yet, but when I log in to the Participant Center, there's an Enter Offline Gift button with a little green cash icon, on the right column of the page.

birdhombre, by Jove, you did! Thank you!

Bobbie

I ended up getting slammed at work, but I'm glad you said something. I will seriously do it tonight or in the next day or so.

What am I missing? I can't even get to the login page - and don't think I ever created a login ID - much less find an icon for offline donations or access the participant center. I'm sitting on a couple of checks but am clueless as to where to go from here. As the person who is supposedly in charge never replied to my email, I suppose I will have to call and ask what to do.

1) www.coastingforkids.org

2) In the list of parks at the top, click Dorney Park

3) Above the park logo there's a plain text link that says "Already registered for Dorney Park? Log in here!"

That's assuming you can remember your login. ;) Once you do though, it should take you to your Participant Center where you can see who's donated and add offline contributions.

Should have read the last post before calling them! They walked me through it and of course, I had no idea what my login was, but recovered it and got to the participant center. Then I discovered that I have to enter the numbers of the checks - which, of course, are at home whereas I am at work - but that's OK, as tonight I'll be ready to rock and roll.

Hi guys! I am looking for sponsors as well. Could you please help me out?

I am only at 5% of my goal of $500 :(

Thank you!

Johnny, what park are you doing CFK for? It is not showing up on your link, and a name is not showing up. I want to make sure I'm donating to the right person (not that I wouldn't donate to a different person, but I'd like to help ya).

Bunk, he's from Jersey and will be joining us at Dorney, according to his KI trip report on this site.

Jersey Boys takeover!!! :)

May be able to make a very small donation to Johnny at the end of next week. $500 is pretty ambitious; I had to set a much lower goal for myself b/c I know nothing about fund-raising. Mike and Bunky are geniuses at fund-raising; I'm a moron. Put the link to my page on Facebook, to no avail, and sent a firm-wide email at work, which resulted in a $25 online donation from my boss and a $3 cash donation from a co-worker. Thanks to work, family and 2 Coaster Buzzers, I've managed to raise $158 - which ain't great but it's better than nothing.

Bobbie

"Genius?" I hardly qualify. Got a small core group who's helped out every year, and the rest is variable. Don't really do anything out of the ordinary. One rider at Dorney has raised over 5K..I can only dream of that.

My son really wants to do this. (He's 11) But I haven't signed him up yet as I'm currently scheduled to work that day. I put in for a trade and will know by noon Saturday whether or not it got approved. In which case I'll sign him up for the CP event. I don't expect to raise much though, given the short notice, but I think it will be good for him to take part in a fundraising type event for charity.

Bunky,

Yup I'm going to Dorney. I checked the link, and it went right to the page. Not sure why you were having trouble!

We should agree on a meet up point at a certain time so we can all do this together!

Johnnyecks, I looked at Dorney's roster and saw only one "John"...Townsend. Is that you?

Yup. That would be me! :)

See you there, then!

Sweet! Lets plan on a place and time to meet!

I'll donate when my next check comes in, Johnny!

I'm making a return to Dorney this year, so Mike, it'll be great to see you again, but to those of you who I've not met yet, it'll be great to see you too!

Also, I'm a third of the way to my goal. I've met a lot of new people at my company this year and they've jumped in to help, so that's been awesome.
