CoasterDynamix Model Photos

I have another question. Will the first 500 sold be numbered? The reason I ask is, if no more than 500 are sold and it's never mass marketed, it would make this highly collectible.
Rentzy - Even if your in college, you could save $500 by the time this product is up for sale in April. That's 2 to 3 months of saving! If you really wanted something, you'd find a way to save the money.

I understand everyone has a diffrent financial situation, but if your budget is stretched so thin that you can't spare $500 after 2 to 3 months of saving, then you should seriously consider a better paying job.

The base pieces are 6"x12" and can be arranged in line, side by side, or perpendicular for a variety of layouts. It is crucial for proper operation to place the vertical supports into the bases. This makes a rigid support structure and allows the trains to operate at optimum efficiency. Since the bases interlock, your foundation is very stable.

We have discussed identifying the first run of kits by running them in a specific color scheme. It is too early to tell what we will do. Hopefully the first 500 will be just the beginning!

wow .. That's pretty impressive.

Roughly, how big was that setup?

:P I have three jobs (all part time), and I still can't spare $500. I mean, I could if I wanted to, but I have much higher priority items for $500 (tuition, room, food, season passes, gas, Solace, CAC...etc. etc.) Considering it takes me over two months to net $500, I would really only consider picking up one of these sets if it were quite a bit cheaper.

You know your only broke cause you go to Princeton ;)

Actually Andy, you proved my point!

OH.....I thought it was called priorities. What was I thinking. ;)

Wood - anything else is an imitation

Wow... talk about amazing. Those pictures just made my list of things to buy that much longer. One of these kits is at the top of my list, where do I sign?

500$ by April... sounds like I'm going to be shoveling a whole lotta snow.

Looks amazing, can't wait to see the final product.

When are you planning on releasing the video of the model.

Yea, I was wondering the same thing as Diving Loop. When will you post a video of the ride in action. I must say it looks very impressive. But $500........thats alot of money.

$500 really isn't all that bad concidering what you are getting for it. At least not for me. Luckly i have been saving my money and now i have somehting rgreat to spend it on. Also I was confused about somehting in this model. Do you bend the track into the loop or are the loops already made and you just snap them together?
Have you checked lately what the going rate for a realistic working model is? If you can find one. I know of one for $3000, one for $7000 and one for $8000. None are even close to this in scale realism.
I am just making sure, Is this coaster $500 or is that an estimate? It looks really cool and I can't wait. *** Edited 1/24/2004 5:37:48 AM UTC by coastergeekrtc***
I also have a question. You said the track comes in 6 feet sections. Let's say i'm making a custom design, and I get to the end and i'm 1 foot short. What do I do? Do I have to "chop" the pieces up? Or is there a way where you can shorten or lengthen the segments? Thanks.

I have another question. How is the chain lift powered?
I am a broke student also. It takes me about 6-7 months to save up $500 providing nothing happens to my transportation. College takes a lot of time and money. Also, have you tried getting a job lately that pays good? It's not easy to do, you can't just go out and get another as easily as you think! I applied for around 12 different jobs, had about as many interviews, and ended up getting a job from my boyfriend's place of employment just because he knew the right people. There are far more employees then positions open right now!

The economy isn't that great... What is really sad is none of these jobs I applied for, not the one I have now, pay enough to support someone living on their own. I still think some of us might like to see a payment plan if you wanted to give anymore thought to that... A down payment then monthly payments after that...

...do you suppose you can swing a discount on the price for educators? A friend of mine is interested in integrating this model into a curriculum she's developing for summer camps.

I'm just interested in buying one to play with :)

.......LOL Chernabog. I already tried the "Fellow Modeler's Discount"! But you're right, that would be a great project for a classroom. Much more fun to watch than a Spacewarp!

Mike, Jack: I've been telling everyone I know about this thing, so hopefully you'll get some orders....and get that website up! :D You'll hear from me shortly (evil grin). I'm dying to get my hands on one, even if it is a B&M!

And I feel for the students out there. I was one many moons ago, and I'm still feeling the financial dent! But you'll thank yourself for the education later on. Besides, I can now use the term "juxtaposition"..... *** Edited 1/26/2004 12:12:52 AM UTC by Arrow Guy***
