CoasterDynamix Model Photos

I am seriously drooling. I have always wanted something like this, but I have had to resort to pipe insulation and duct tape, with a marble as my car. When/where will this be available? I would have a real blast with this kit!
Maybe I missed the answer, but how much are these running?

Swoosh, about $500 a kit.

Any word on how or when we'll be able to pre-order these babies?
I just received an email from Mike that says they will sell the kits through their website in/by the spring.

Wood - anything else is an imitation

The lift assembly will be completely expandable for length/height as is the whole kit. You can build ANY combination you can dream up since it is easy to change support height and track geometry. This kit was designed to be totally expandable. Build Batman, Raptor, or get two and build Dueling Dragons! There is no limit to what you can build. Best of all, the kit is easy to assemble. How about two eight car trains on Dueling Dragons- one with an on-ride camera on the front car and the other with one on the rear? Would that be too cool or what?
I know that this has been asked, but I haven't seen a definite answer: have you started taking pre-orders and how can I get on the list?
$500 for a kit? Seems a bit high for my budget, but I know how much it cost to build those things, and the price is very reasonable considering how big it is. Maybe a smaller version could be made. Or I might see this thing floating around on EBay in a few years. Great looking model though! Better price than a Brewer thats for sure.

Instead of waiting a few years for the chance of one making it on ebay, why not get a job, save your money. then buy one once you've saved $500? It doesn't take that long. *** Edited 1/21/2004 11:53:58 PM UTC by rOLLocOASt***
Well, looks like I need a job... $500 by April it is.
Dang Canadian dollar! I'll have to fork out about $650-700 if I want a kit, so I'll have to start saving up some serious cash!

Great work on the kit. It looks absolutely amazing and relativly easy to set up. If this is succsessful than having a hyper train available would be awesome!

Roller coasters are more than just rides, they're a reason for living

No need to get defensive about it...jeez. Ever think that I might have college to pay for, or a house loan to pay for, not to mention car payments. Life isn't all fun and coasters you know.

Was hoping someone could help me with this, but I tried a yahoo search and checked the links here at CB, but I cant find an official site [coaster dynamix]. Is it because there isnt one?

Great work by the way! I can't wait to get my hands on one.

There is no official site yet, Matt.

I will gladly offer my services on helping get an official site up if it will get me a discount on a kit ;)

Certain victory.

I was wondering, Jack R., are you guys planning on putting up some photos of a a kit being assembled? 'Cause that would be really, really cool. Or you way ahead of me?
Add another to the buying list. I'm really excited about this. Looks like i'll be busy all through April for once and it will really help pass the time for CP's opening day to come. Keep it up. I'll be watching for it!

How long does it take to assemble? Does it come with instructions or do you just make up your own design?

We have been so busy working on the model that we don't have our site up. We do have the domain name, though. Mike is working on a video that shows the model in action plus some shots of the assembly order of supports, spine, ties, and rails. It will come with instructions and will be supplemented with online hints and tips.
I spent about $240 on 3 Screamin Serpents so I had enough track to go around my room. It was pretty cool really, it went up one of my walls at about a 70 degree angle, then went around and through 4 inversions before it came to the bottom. $500 is pretty steep, but I could really get into something like this and I think it would be worth it if I saved up money over the spring. How could I keep in touch and stay informed of the release of this kit?
