CoasterBuzz was launched on January 30, 2000, a decade and a half ago. The site has entertained millions of visitors in that time, and has had five distinct versions.
Look back at 15 Years of CoasterBuzz!
What a trip down memory lane! I've been here since 2001, although it doesn't seem like it's been that long.
Moosh, Dawn, Nasai, Peabody, and Gator were some of the first Buzzers I met at SRM 2003. That's when we all wrote our Coasterbuzz "screen names" on our badges so we could identify each other more easily. Great times!
I haven't had much to say in the last six years as well, but I'm still around.

I remember those early days on my old green screen pc with dial up AOL with slow loading times. Time sure flies by.My website will be 10yrs old in 2016.

Opened the newsletter during the last hour of work on a slow day and seemed like a great time to come in and wish the CoasterBuzz community "Happy Birthday!" Congratulations Jeff! Now...back to updating the track record.

P.S. Great to hear from you kids, Eric, Tina, Dawn. Don't wait another 6 years!
I can't express how much I love and appreciation I have for CoasterBuzz! I've been posting since my buddy I worked with at IOA told me about the site in 2001. It was the perfect remedy for my obsession with wanting to talk about coasters all the time back then.
I've grown up a lot, but I have never stopped doing the CoasterBuzz thing. I've been here, either reading or posting, practically every day since I first discovered it. CoasterBuzz was the entire reason I got my first computer so many years ago.
Here's to another 15 years! Long live CoasterBuzz!

Another person I miss is Antuan. Where's he been? And Impulsive.
Hi Dawn!
Time flies. I picked up this hobby (and CoasterBuzz) when Raging Bull was in it's second season. Not too long ago it struck me for some reason that Raging Bull was 16, and while I didn't make notice at the time, CoasterBuzz has been there the entire time. My enthusiasm for the hobby has been diluted over the years, but CoasterBuzz is still a daily stop. While I didn't know the people behind the list of names Gator posted personally, they're as familiar as some of the people I have known personally over the last decade and half.
Miss the green and yellow, but this one is easy on the eyes, too. Happy 15th (wow)!
The trick was to surrender to the flow.

Ohhh. Coasterbuzz can drive next year!Wow... we are all getting old!
Yeah? Just wait til CoasterBuzz is old enough to drink! We'll really be in for it then...
I can't believe I've been coming here since 2004! And since I was kind of late becoming familiar with the Internets, it was here (and PointBuzz) where I learned the most about on-line interaction and social conduct. I'm still learning, some 3000+ posts later.
I came for the news and stayed for the daily drama! I've laughed and I've cried. I've made several good friends here, both on and off line, and there are many more of you I hope to know someday. (and a few I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole...)
So happy birthday, congratulations, and thanks to Jeff and everyone in the C'Buzz family that helps keep us rolling along here.

That'll be us. I'm that one that looks like Bill Gates, apparently.
Geez, fifteen years, who'd thunk it? Noisy? Sometimes, but it's a lot better here than a great number of sites that I once frequented. Ones that are no longer around. Don't say as much as I used to either. Still active in the business, but no longer on a full time basis. Always entertaining around here, I give you that.
I found Coasterbuzz randomly when I started getting into coasters in 2008. Since then, I've nearly tripled my count of coasters and belong to enough enthusiast sites and clubs that I get them all mixed up, but this remains my favorite site for the people, the discussion, the comedy, and even the dull stuff like organization and appearance. I even joined my first coaster event because of this site, and I've met dear friends who I talk to almost every day.
Happy birthday, CB! May there be many more!

There's no apparently about it Bill. Just shave the 'stache and you could easily infiltrate Microsoft headquarters... ;)

Geez. I feel OLD. I remember when the site was green and yellow, checking it on dial up internet.
I remember finding Coasterbuzz when Six Flags Ohio was under construction. Talking about that project was all the rage. Who else remembers the pie sections as navigation on the home page?
2000 was a crazy year. Six Flags Ohio, SOB, Millennium Force... It was a good year to be in Ohio. Even more weird to think that the only thing still operating in the state is MF.
