CoasterBuzz was launched on January 30, 2000, a decade and a half ago. The site has entertained millions of visitors in that time, and has had five distinct versions.
Look back at 15 Years of CoasterBuzz!

Congrats Jeff! I have probably spent more time here than any other website over the past 15 years.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
^Ditto Andy's comment (well, I've spent the better part of 14 of those 15 years here, while being a member for 13 of the 15). It's the first site I almost always hit as soon as I open a browser. It's like a habit. A really bad habit.
CoasterBuzz is the only enthusiast site that's actually outlasted my enthusiasm for its subject matter. Not that I've completely lost it, but it's lessened over the years.
Happy Birthday Coasterbuzz. I've been here for about 11 years of the 15. What is kinda disturbing to me is that most of the other websites I use now didn't exist when I first started visiting Coasterbuzz.
Awww, lets take some time to remember some of our memorable posters who are MIA lately:
2Hostyl
coasterdude318
IntaminFan
Dawnmarie
Coasterdaddy (Minivan of Justice)
^^ Ditto Andy and Vater.
Just checked; my first post was in December, 2000. I've passed many enjoyable hours here since then.
Thank you, Jeff!

Coaster buzz can actually drive this year...with a supervising driver. Congrats!
As for the missing people, I really miss 2Hostyl posting and Dawn. I haven't talked to dawn lately but usually meet up with her and her husband at sfog occasionally. She's a mom now.

That's sort of vaguely related to my own feelings (which I wrote about on my LiveJournal). I suppose at the end of the day, it's not an issue of losing it as much as life being crowded with a lot of things. I mean, I live next door to Disney World, so it's not like I never see any theme park action. I suspect the interest will grow again when Simon is 48", and again at 54".

Congratulation CoasterBuzz and Thank you to Jeff for all his hard work on the site. I can't believe that I've been reading the site now for 12 of the 15 years (1/3 of my life). I've read a lot of posts over that time and listened to every single podcast. I usually don't have much to say, but I finally created an account and joined the CoasterBuzz Club 2 years ago. I wish I had done that sooner, attended some of the earlier events, and got to know more of the other members here.
Keep up the good work and remember that it is always better to post in an existing thread than to start a new one.

Happy Birthday CoasterBuzz! Didn't know it's been around that long. I joined PointBuzz in Summer of 2013 and here last summer. I would've been here longer, but I just got into rollercoasters recently. Here's to another 15!
