It's all about getting around the barrels or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and still looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)

I have to concur with some of the opinions here. Like Chitown I tend to try to "blend in" at parks. I also am incredibly turned off by the general stereotype (if it's mostly true does that make it a stereotype?) that enthusiasts get. It's also the reason I am not a member of any organized enthusiast group...but that's another topic.I own two coaster/park related shirts - a Kraken shirt and a Dorney shirt. Oddly enough I can name exactly how many times I've worn each to a park: Once. I wore the Kraken shirt to Kennywood once and the Dorney Shirt to SFOG - don't ask me why I know that, I just do. They tend to get worn when I'm running to the grocery store or the gas station or just hanging out rather than at the parks.
I guess it's a matter of preference and/or taste but it struck me funny that someone would be so against a website (any website's, not just CB's) T-shirt.
Just remember never to be "that guy" and wear the shirt from the park you're at - like wearing the shirt of the band who's show you're at. (PCU anyone?)

I thought that ban was against wearing the shirt of the band you were in! (see Can't Hardly Wait). Anyway, I hate being associated with the stereotype likely much more than the next person, but I gladly wear my coaster T-shirts (including one from a coaster website) when I'm at a park (or washing the car, or working overtime, or at the airport, blah, blah, blah). It's just a shirt. I feel no more or less geeky in it.
What *I* have a problem with is those people who wear pins (coaster pins, olympic pins, etc.). Other than wearing ONE on the lapel, I see people who do *that* as geeks beyond help. But that is *my* "line in the sand" that I wont cross. If other people want to do it, so be it. Why should they care what I think anyway....GEEKS! ;)

I wonder which trip this summer will be the 'dr00liest:' Con, SRM, or CAC?

The incident that happened to chris at IB is exactly the reason why I don't wear coaster/park related clothing. Bass...you'll find out the hard way someday ;)Moosh - wondering if Kevin will be at Con?

Well, unlike you guys, I'm more than willing to be a rude b*st*rd if someone is being a coaster tool. Plus I look mean anyways, which I've found is better than spraying on a fresh coat of "Geek-Off" before going to the parks.

I have more band Tshirts than I can remember (some of the older Rush, Metallica, Galactic Cowboys, Dream Theater, Primus, King's X, etc., shirts are in desparate need of being thrown out, but I'm a guy, we don't do such things unless a wife makes us ;) )
Comic books shirts? Yes (Kingdom Come, Sandman, Quantum & Woody, Suicide Squid (old rec.arts.comics in-joke)
Computer shirts? Yes. (Even one with actual C code on it)
Coaster shirts? Of course.
But then there's my OTHER "casual" wardrobe, which is a bit more upscale -- khaki Dockers, good sweaters, long- and short-sleeved golf and button-down shirts, Clarks brand loafers...
And my "dressy" wardrobe -- navy suit, gray slacks and blue sportscoat, navy slacks and gray sportscoat. White and solid color dress shirts. Several ties. Etc. (Actually I'm thinking about another suit, maybe an earth tone of some sort)
Something I'm comfortable in for every occasion. Do I give a damn what anyone else thinks? Not really. Do I have any other point? Not really ;) "Geek" is relative...

I still wear my coaster shirts, just not to parks. I'm more likely to where something plain or a rock tee.
Maybe I will where my beautiful Iron City Beer shirt to the next event I attend.
