You'll be pleased to know Jeff has a very healthy meal planned for attendees. Paula

Not that I am trying to be a complainer - but I don't think pizza, chips and fudge fit this bill.

This is a long-running joke. I was being sarcastic.

I sure hope that was a joke. Remember that general admission that day is $30, assuming you bring a Pepsi can (it's $34 without), and you still don't get food or ERT.

No not a joke and I was really not trying to complain. Believe me I do appreciate all you do for us CBuzzers, I know and appreciate the value you offer, and I'll definately still be going to HW. After recently losing about 80 pounds (to continue my coaster riding habits) it is really easy to "fall off the wagon" so to speak eating as we all do at all these events. Again I am not complaining and appreciate it all, and the pizza of course will be good. It be nice (I'm going to get mega-flamed for this) if we also had something else alternatively, I don't know like maybe non-pasta type salads or maybe even fruit of some sort.

Are you serious?

IT'S...FREE...FOOD.

That means you're free to leave it, too.

-CO

(who's 75 pounds lighter than before, never eaten at a Coastermania, barely eaten at most other events and has only eaten full meals at VF's Coaster Craze)

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Diet or not, Im still gonna eat that Pizza and fudge!
One day does little damage.

If you going to go off the wagon for a day, then just do it... just don't make yourself sick by over-doing it

Oh, good grief....

;)

There, is everyone happy now?

Comedic Irony is so hard to do on the web.

Yes - understood - as I mentioned. So I am not allowed to ask a question then?

Cyberdman, gift horse.

Gift horse, Cyberdman.

*pssssst* this is the part where you say "Thank you," grab the reins and get moving! :)

Again, note my previous parenthetical statment. It's nothing I haven't done before myself over the past seven (eight?) years I've kept off the weight.

Eat what you'd like some other time, or skip the meal altogether. You wouldn't be the first or the only.

Trust me it has nothing to do with gift horse and me being unappreciative. As I already stated. I do usually skip the meals that aren't for me. I read your statement(s) and good for you too - I'd think that as least you can then identify with this.

I was just asking a simple question about alternatives. Yeah I know, I can hear the new comments now - go find someplace else to eat or eat elsewhere in the park, etc. I try to eat this kind of stuff in moderation when presented, options would be nice, but I know I can't have everything. I mean obviously Jeff and the park crews can not accomodate everyone's needs. Again though I was just simply asking a question (with the utmost respect meant as stated) or am I not allowed to do that here now and I no longer have an allowable opinion?

cyberdman

Okay, then look at it in terms of practicality.

What makes your diet better than my diet or Weight Watchers or South Beach or Kosher, Muslim or Hindu standards?

Where do you start accomodating and where do you stop--for a complimentary meal, of all things?

It stops here with Pizza, chips and Fudge. Seems to work for a lotta people.

Enough with the diet talk, please! This is supposed to be fun... not work!

Jeff: I thought Stephanie worked in that field, not you.

Unless you work there now :)

Okay, I'm done!

As I previously stated (I'm getting tired of typing that phrase - it'd be nice if you read my entire post so that I wouldn't have to keep saying that) that I know of course Jeff and Co. can not possibly please everyone. I'm not advocating a certain single diet, although it is without arguement that certain foods are better for you than others.

Okay Paula I guess it is my fault for believing what you were posting being a rep. for your company and all. My wife was even excited about that when I told her what you posted. Oh well, I forget I guess you can't believe everything you read on the internet. ;)

Sorry Jeff just had to get that last one in. ;) HW will be fun anyway if I choose to eat or not - I'll decide how I'm feeling once I'm there ... and I will be there and will be happy and feel privileged to be part of your Cbuzz group.

But see it is not Paula who ultimately determines what the menu is. Jeff does. Technically, if I understand the dynamics right, although the event is at Holiday World, it is a coasterbuzz event unlike the previous "all enthusiast event previously held in May/June" which was a HW event for all groups.

The difference is in who is doing the inviting.

Also if you look at Paula's response, it is entirely possible that she was being sarcastic as she did have a smile at the end. Also, she never confirmed that your interpretation was correct when you responded.

Regardless, cyberdman, the pizza is excellent there, and you will certainly be walking it all off, especially with the construction tour for Voyage! I have yet to come home from any coaster event with extra weight. In fact, I generally lose weight on those weekends!

My reg form is filled out and will be in the mail shortly. I've already arranged for the Friday off, got an RV reserved, and the only detail is picking my son and his GF up from Ann Arbor after they finish their classes.

I certainly hope there is no construction on US23 south.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

PIZZA. FUDGE. CHIPS. And a shrub on a plate for cyberdman. Better? :)

Personally, I'd just as soon pack a wetsuit and do a few dozen rounds on Jungle Racer BUT I'm not so much special-er than everyone else that the show has to stop just for me. Let's move on, shall we?

PS - :)

Right, my bad redman.

Thanks for the encouragement CPLady. Yeah I forgot about the tour. We will get a lot of walking in and that is good. Funny, I'll be coming from the Ann Arbor area too. Lets hope for no road construction down that way for the rest of the season. :)

Edit - Thanks Playa, I'll take that shrub. :) Will that water park even be open then?

cyberdman

Oh nevermind - that is why you said wetsuit. :)

Maybe we should go back to talking about drinking in the campground?
