CoasterBuzz Club event at Dorney Park in 2005!

That page lists the costs of last year's events.

The catering at the events we have is not free. There are generally four prices, a combination of members, non-members, season pass-holders and non-season pass-holders. We haven't gone that far in the discussion yet with Dorney, as they're just finalizing their 2005 catering pricing.

Like I said... when details are firm, you'll be the first to know!

The more people that annoy Jeff in the meantime, the higher the prices for the event...;)
Might I suggest a post Dorney day at Knoebels. :) Coasterbuzz sponsered or not it could be a fun time. Especially since knoebels usually has Buy one get one deals for Handstamps early in the season.

This past summer RRC put on a small ERT opening day just after the park closed.

Here's the FLYER from that event. I don't see why Coasterbuzz couldn't pull off a similar event. A May event would probably be best for this too since the park is only open weekend until June. Maybe a Friday at Dorney and Saturday at Knoebels?

Why did I have to mention the Flyers? :( *** Edited 12/14/2004 11:59:18 PM UTC by coasterpunk***

If the time of year is not set, can I suggest sometime in early June? It'd be a bit warmer, and Dorney still isn't all that busy (except saturdays) until July. The past 2 years have been quite chilly during the first few weekends.

this is great news! I would finally get to meet some of you guys. dorney's 90 miles from me. Im there, whatever date it is.

You won't see me coming...

So if I were to show up...would people recognize me? I feel like a lot of you know each other already...I might feel like an outsider and all...how open and receptive are you to newcomers to your little cliq? ;)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Yep, gator...at this rate the price difference between CB paid members and non-paid members will be $15 next year... ;-)

Hey BigJim - no worries, I'm a bit of a newcomer to the buzz myself (especially to 'events') If no one else'll pal around with you, you can always join up with me. I'm definitely going to be there.

You have to put yourself out eventually if you want people to hang around with. Everyone I've met has been really receptive and unless there's something I'm missing, there aren't any *exclusive* "cliques". Just introduce yourself and talk enough to not be creepy. ;)

While there have been several people I've chatted with extensively through AIM and/or on the phone before meeting (Bill-rollergator, Dawn-dawnmarie313, Matt-Mamoosh, Tina-coasterqueen, Clint-Tekno, Joe-Legendary, Brian- Homey G., etc.), a lot of people I just accidently ran into at parks (Kristin Marie, John-Michael Darling, Rob-HeyIsntThatRob, Bob-Kick The Sky, Sean Flaharty, etc.) and they were really friendly. A few of them I consider as some of my best friends anywhere and we hang out on weekends, go to concerts, go to movies, and do a lot of non-coaster things. It helps if you talk to people on AIM, Yahoo!, through e-mail, or something before an event and plan to meet, but it's really easy to squeeze yourself in as well. Don't be shy. Most people just *play* assholes on the net. ;)

Danny just likes to be stalked by all these people, and he doesn't even have to put out, er, put himself out there. ;-)

A Dorney event sounds awesome! In addition to a visit to Knoebels I would also suggest Clementon or even Hershey as possible side trips.

You couldn't have said it better Tina, I was planning a NE trip next year and this just makes it even better if this goes through.

Don't forget Kingdakakakakakaka

That is if Kingda Ka is up and running when the Dorney event is scheduled.

Don't forget about Sesame Place and Williams Grove as other side trip possibilities when in and around Philly.

Parks within 100 miles of Dorney:

SFGAdv (96)
Knoebels (77)
Pocono Play Park (45)
Bushkill Park (23)
Dutch Wonderland (68)
Sesame Place (54)
Hersheypark (72)
Clementon (78)
Land Of Make Believe (76)
Coney Island (astroland, deno's, etc) (103)
Bowcraft (70)
Keansburg (92)
Nellie Bly (101)
Williams Grove (97)

Go nuts! :)

And you didn't even include all of the piers on the Jersey shore either.. plenty of coasters on the coast there.

Yeah, but those hit the 125 mile mark.

In the other direction, you can be at DelGrosso's/Lakemont in under/around 200 miles.

There's also Rye Playland (123) and Six Flags America (176).

I guess it depends on how far you want to drive. 100 miles seems like a good distance. That's an easy day trip.
