they changed the time limit to four months. I guess they realized that many parks are closed for more than three months every winter. Also, parks do care about their rides, the ride or park isn't making enough money to pay the bills, and wages. The owners have to close the park. Jazzland (now SFNO) didn't make enough money because the park was poorly desighed and didn't make enough money. Your park(s) in NC and/or IN wouldn't make money to even pay for mainntenance because it will only have one coaster and no rides or shops because you won't have any money to build them and get the land and buy any coaster. That is only IF SF, PKI, or CF lost their minds to give away a coaster

SFON, I think you meant "site" not "sight". ;)

Glass houses?

Why don't you CPO join ACE, a club with thousands of members instead of going it alone with an unrealistic dream? Even a used coaster such as King Cobra would cost a couple of millions of dollars, and that's before transportation and reerection costs are factored in. You need real money to pull off what you want to do. Oh yeah, by the way, you're under attack again in the new PKD Coaster Con Midway Game Contest article. The ACER's take it hard on the chin also. Ouch.

This just in ...

The Coaster Preservation Club has hired Mohammed Saeed "Baghdad Bob" al-Sahaf as Director of Public Relations. Bob is the Iraqi Minister of Information, though he is currently on administrative leave.

Bob issued the following statement:

"First off, there is no Club, only Organization. My feelings - as usual - we will save them all, the coasters. Once we do, there will be no CoasterBuzz infidels allowed to join. Never! God will roast their stomachs in hell. I blame CoasterBuzz - they are marketing for the amusement parks!

Our initial assessment is that all the coasters will be saved. The parks are coming to surrender or be sued. Be assured. The coasters are safe, protected. We are not afraid of the amusement parks. Allah has condemned them. They are stupid. They are stupid (dramatic pause) and they are condemned.

The CoasterBuzzers, they always depend on a method what I call ... stupid, silly. All I ask is check yourself. Do not in fact repeat their lies. I can assure you that those villains will recognize, will discover in appropriate time in the future how stupid they are and how they are pretending things which have never taken place.

The Absolutely Reliable is all about lies! All they tell is lies, lies and more lies! I have detailed information about the situation...which completely proves that what they allege are illusions . . . They lie every day."

Am I going to get sued too by CPO? I have a few planks of lumber in my back yard left over from building a fence and a shed. Is that a possible non constructed SBNO coaster just sitting there rotting away?

Kind of hard to take a post as objective if a park or coaster name is part of the "user name"

Oh, my.

Oh, my.

Huh.

And yikes.

$3000 for a lifetime pass to "all the parks", huh? I'll see your bluff, and raise you.

If you can GUARANTEE me that NO park will EVER turn me away with your little cardboard cutout produced-on-an-inkjet "pass", I'll buy one. If any park EVER turns me away, you refund my money twice over. And I mean ANY park with a gated admission or ride-all-day option -- Kennywood. Lake Compounce. Cedar Point. Silverwood. Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Six Flags. Paramount. Busch Gardens. Castles & Coasters. Any of them.

This will be done as a legal contract, verified and signed by my lawyer and notarized in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Interested?

Didn't think so...

Why spend $3,000 on a lifetime pass? According to the site, all you have to do is join the club to get a lifetime pass. And it is free!

Only CPO members get the lifetime pass FREE. And we are doing more than saving up 40 cents a day. Atleast we have more cents than you do.

I already joined the site, and am quite active in the forums. Does this mean I get a free lifetime pass to all parks in addition to my great custom title, 'Coaster Rider'?

All you really need is $5 for film and someone with a car to drop you off at Carowinds....'cuz then you can finish this big ol' insurmountable task before pimp-slapping all those publicly traded corporations around.

Might I suggest going outside and mowing a few lawns?
