Coaster dream

YES you CAN feel pain in dreams. here is a rather violent coaster dream [but is edited for this site]. it makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE! im going to war with a bunch of friends its against the japenese. what i remember next is explosions and gun fire and being covered with hot oil. It hurt like hell!! I took off my clothes and dove in a lake when looking up I notice that the riverside cyclone at SFNE is just standing there thats when i get shot in the arm by a sniper hiding somwhere in its big white structure, OUCH!! so i run up to the coaster and start the climb up the lift whe at the crown he jumps out at me and we then roll down the steep drop we start fighting im winning then suddenly he whips out a knife and just as he is about to lunge at me an empty car comes down the drop and SPLAT!! knocks him to pieces I jump in the car and enjoy the rest of the ride. Cyclone, thanks for saving my life. that was the most complicated dream of my life I would say more but im not allowed to on this site. anybody else have a wierder dream?

I once had a dream that we were going to SFStL, and when we got there, the park was actually, in the city with all the skyscrapers and stuff, and the road was just inches from the rides. Pretty freaky.

Up until my first trip to Cedar Point last August, I had all sorts of dreams about the park and it's coasters. In one, I was riding Mantis, and it had life jackets instead of OTSR's. Maybe this was because I had been hearing about how B&M stand-up restraints say "Marine Use Only" on them. In another one, I rode Raptor, and it was by far the best ride I had ever experienced...too bad I wasn't so impressed by the ride when I was at the actual park.:) I had one more dream regarding Power Tower and Magnum, but I can't remember it too well.

"Hold on tight, with all your might, and enjoy your flight on the Raven!"
I recently dreamt that MF had monkey bars on the top of each train and when we rode it we were able to swing around (much like gymnast on the bars)a very unique way of coaster riding. Maybe it was hitting at a new way to make a 4d coaster :)
Every time I have a rollercoaster dream, I always fall out of the ride. One time I had a dream about Millenium Force and my lap bar failed halfway up the lift. I didn't even have a seatbelt. I held on for dear life on the drop, and I flew 3 feet of my seat. Then the ride had a 200 ft. loop that went 2 MPH at the top. I then fell off 200 feet to the ground below. It was pretty freaky. Then right before I hit the ground I woke up.

As you can tell by the number of responses, dreaming about coasters is pretty common. My guess is that the emotional impact of thrill rides is something that sticks to your subconcious, then you get to "process" those emotions at night when you're not so "in the moment".

Usually, when I dream about parks/coasters, there are rides I haven't been on. Sometimes they seem so real, I'm sure they actually exist at some park I've never been to. But I'll stop there, cause this board is about coasters.

I had a coaster dream a while back so I don't remember the details, but it was about Apollo's Chariot. Anyways, it was really weird because the layout was totally different and it was in this weird place. The cool thing was that I was the only person on it. Another dream I had had was about Volcano, but it was kinda freaky because I hadn't even been on it at that time.

Ride op for FoF: "See ya!" Wooooosh!
and I thought I was weird when I first started this topic. It just keeps coming back, again and again and again....

I just looked at pictures of Morey's Piers yesterday, so when I went to sleep i had a dream that my dad built all the coasters that are at Morey's Piers in our back yard except the great nor'easter
i can't say that i've ever had a dream about a rollercoaster...sorry to disappoint you all! :)
About six months ago, I had a dream when I was on an Intamin coaster (box track) with Schwartzkopf trains (no OTSR). It was really tall (400'?) and had loops! So on one of the loops, I stood up! I fell out, started falling 200 feet. 20 feet from the ground, I realized I was about to fall on a red and white tent. I always remember it was red and white. Then I went into part two of the dream which I can't really remember.

Top 5:
1. Millenium Force
2. Batman: the Ride
3. Riddler's Revenge
4. GhostRider
5. Raging Bull
I had a dream that i was on some weird shuttle ride and i started of going up the lift hill backwards out of the building the station was in and started going through the ride backwards. Sometime during the ride we magicaly faced forward and did all thes flips and stuff. Then the track ended and we flew off, but we were atatched to the track by a giant bungee cord so we swung back and forth by a bungee cord then it snapped us backwards and i was all of a sudden in the station. It was weird, but i was having alot of fun in the dream.
IF you have ever had a dream where they actually happened it is rather freaky. Even though I know no one is reading this by now But I might as well say it. I had a dream about either indiana beach or cedarpoint. If it was cedarpoint then it was next to the lake because I remember the path had sand on it. Anyway I had a dream of an amazing new wood coaster. It was a cyclone type of ride. All I can remeber is it was a totally amazing ride. It offered great airtime and awesome turns. I remeber riding this thing at night but I really couldn't make out the rest of the park I just rode it over and over again.

what is wierd is I had this dream A few days after cornball express was debuted. It had some great air like cornball but the setting was totally different. I will piss my self if cedarpoint gets a wood next year with the same layout.

chill factor
I once had a weird dream that I was at Cedar Point about to ride MF. It was really strange though because when you got in the station, the ride op could press a button and the whole track layout would change. I remember I thought the new designs where to whimpy(other than fire coming off the ends of the trains) so i decided to do something else.
Just when you thought this topic would go away I decide to have a dream about V2. We were in this field out in the middle of no where and v2 was sitting there with just supports and people were waiting in line to get on. Apparantly this new invention of invisible track has yet to leak out to the public. It was like on RCT when you click on see-through ride except for there was a train going back and forth unfortunately we were running from someone (not sure what I'll I remember is we were running so we had to pass it up)
I just had another coaster dream last night. It was Son Of beast I was riding! It was so FAST I was in the front seat too! It was realisticly fast and also very rough. this was the most realistic dream Ive ever had. Nothing was wierd or out of place, I did not fall out. I have never rode the ride But the helix was INCREDABLE! Is It like that in real life? This dream has got me REALLY interested about the ride. I will ride it for the 2002 season!
Whenever I have a coaster dream, I never actaully get to ride a coaster. I always see them and they're running, but something prevents me from getting on it...kinda depressing. :( I have dreamt about both parks I've been to and those I have not.

JORDON DUNHAM, I know exactly what you mean about dreaming of something and having if come true...like you're living it over again. This is really deja vu. ;) Whenever this happens to me, I try to do exactly the opposite of what I did in the dream. This has happened to me at least 10 times and it freaks me out everytime.

Your best? Losers are always whining about doing their best...winners go home and ******* the prom queen.
I just had one last night. I was riding Deja vu, but the tower were twisted like an impulse!
I've had a couple of dreams:
During an aftershock I dreamt I was on a rapids ride, but I jumped on right before the big drop.

I rode Millennium Force with my brother. I don't know what he was doing on it since he doesn't even ride the Pirates of the Caribbean because of "the adrenaline rush".
