So last night I had my first ever coaster dream. I not going to go into great detail but...
First of all, the last time I was at PKI was 17 years ago. I was ten.
The dream:
I was headed to PKI to meet my family. As soon as I walked into the gate, there they were. They had been there for many hours and were on their way to Top Gun. Top Gun was an invertered coaster, rather than a suspended in my dream (?) My shoulder harness wouldn't come down, the ride operators didn't care and made me ride anyways, so I hung on for dear life. Good ride anyways.
We rode a few flat rides and then grabbed something to eat. Then my family insisted on leaving. I begged to go ride SOB and the Beast but no one would let me. We left and went home.
Anyone else ever have a coaster dream?

I just had one last night, I was at Dorney Park and I was going on Talon when all of a sudden I fell into a pool of water. How that happened I don't know, but I rode Talon in the dream and in the dream I thought it sucked. I don't think that will be my opinion after I ride it for real.

Talon is going to rock, roll, and take its toll!

This is getting pretty bad if we have to start talking about dreams!!
I had this one dream I was at SFWOA riding BKF. When I went out of the loop my shoulder harness popped up. Then I woke up. That sucked.
I've had a couple, and they're both reoccurring.
In one, my shoulder restraint comes loose on an inverted coaster and I always wake up right after I let loose.
In the other, there is a rollercoaster off to the side of an expressway. I always stop to ride it, and the coaster (arrow) always ends with the track coming out of a corkscrew and diving into the ground. Then they clean up all of that mess and the next train comes around and, WHAM! Same thing over and over.
No more Taco Bell before bed for me.
Mine are extremely weird. Like I went to go on Mantis (never been to CP) and the thing's track ended and we ran into a pine tree where a bloodthirsty squirrel was threatning me with a bag of hazelnuts.

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
In all of my coaster dreams, the track breaks and somehow the train always lands on the track. I am usually riding Revolution at SFMM. I always wake up before the ride is over. Last night I had a dream that I could see Goliath, Supreme Scream, and Superman from the Grand California Hotel balcony in Disney's California Adventure. The coasters were sticking out from the tree tops of a forest. They seemed really close, probably within throwing distance. Weird, huh?
I've had a very strange coaster-related dream...
One day in English, we were discussing Edgar Allen Poe and the "nether states" (states where a person is on the verge of life/death, sleep/awake, sane/insane). That night, I had a bizarre dream about slipping into one of these nether states.
First I was in my school, and it wasn't even close to my school...it had a twisted round room, a good library, and these crazy elevators. Then I went down to the main office and had to make a call. As soon as I picked up the phone, I found myself in a phone booth at a busy intersection on a rainy stormy night. Suddenly, a car came careening at me, and I was blinded by the headlights.
**FOR THOSE OF YOU WONDERING WHAT THE HELL THIS HAS TO DO WITH COASTERS, HERE YOU GO**
I opened my eyes and found myself in a totally white expanse, kind of like the "loading program" in the movie THE MATRIX. Suddenly, in the distance, was this huge coaster. I started walking closer to it and it eventually took on the outline of Millennium Force. I got on it and rode it...but when I returned to the station, the brakes failed and the train flew through the station, triggering an explosion. As the train raced up the hill once more, the explosion raced up, and as the train reached the top of the hill and started dropping, the rest of the track was blown away and I plummeted toward earth in the car.
The rest of the dream after that was really a twisted series of generally unconnected vignettes, and I started to think I had gone beyond those nether states (yes, I was sleeping...yes, I was alive...no, I was not sane...)
I'd really like to see someone top this...I don't think anyone's any more nuts than me...I mean, come on...look at my member name...

Every single time I ride some kind of amusement park attraction in my dreams, I always fall out.
Not once have I ridden a roller coaster in my dreams without flying out of the vehicle one way or another.
Weird.
WELL, I have had many, many coaster dreams. Two that stick in my head are this: In one I go to a field near me and I went on Raging Bull. (Weird because as everyone knows, Raging Bull wasn't built in a field). My ride on The Bull was awesome, but somehow in my dream the Bull was inverted and I lost my shoe while I was on it. When the ride was just about over, I woke up. Another dream I had is I went to SFGAm and we were just walking around and not going on any coasters. I saw Batman, but it looked really small, like all twisted around itself. I was wondering why I didn't go on it and then I was about to get in line but then I woke up.

Jack, who can't wait for opening day 2001...
A while back, I had a really cool coaster dream. I was just walking around in some random residential area. I walked across a road that went to a more commercial area with stores and such. Like many dreams, I all of a sudden turned around to see something totally out of place. This time, it was Hypersonic XLC. From this point of view on the sidewalk, you could only see the "real" tower, banked turn, and bunny hop. You could not, however, see the end of the ride. I decided to walk off the sidewalk and into the heavy forest like area in the direction of the ride. A little ways into this forest, I noticed signs saying "Keep Out" and "Do Not Enter". Being the spy that I am, I continued. I soon came to a clearing to find...::drum roll::... THE REST OF THE RIDE! It was half way entrenched in the ground and well below tree level. There were interlocking loops, a huge cobra roll, twists, and something like Premiere's spaghetti bowl effect. All in all, about 15 inversions (hey! It's a dream, right?!). Now, here's the kicker: The first thing that I thought of after taking pictures was to go home, get online, AND POST IN THIS FORUM about the secret I had found. Then I woke up... and I was down in the dumps the whole day because it wasn't true...
-------------
Is it just me or does Hypersonic look like one of those coasters you would see on Looney Toons?
I had a dream about riding Millennium Force (on two different occasions). The first we were going up and all of the sudden we were sitting on the track above when rescuers came up with harnesses and stuff. We never came down for some reason, hehe.
The second, Millennium Force only had like 3 cars per train and each seat had shoulder harnesses. I believe it was like at a carnival or something...
Weird, weird, weird.

I had a dream where i was at a sneak peak of SFGAm's two new rides. They were both inverted but not what i had expected. The didn't have any loops and curved a lot to make a really messy effect and where placed side by side. They had a large covering over both of them that spaned each ride and parts of both rides curved into little valleys. I rode one ride over and over and when i decided to try the next one it was closed and i could find no one in the park. I've had other coaster dreams a lot lately and can not seam to remember any other ones.
I though I was weired for having coaster dreams. I had one the other night, I was riding kumba with over the shoulder restraints.

Hopefully I'll have all the fun I can STAND!
I too also always fall out of the coaster whenever I have a coaster dream. In most cases though, I was never harnessed in to begin with. Like I had a dream that I was on Millenium force, just after I rode it. In the dream instead of a train with restraints, there was just a flat platform with nothing to hold onto traving up the lift. I was excited about being on it untill about halfway up, when I realized I was gonna fall out on the drop, I started clutching for something to hold onto, and thats when the lift speeded up (Just like it really does), and just as it went over the hill I began to slide off the platform, and just at that moment woke up. Not only did I wake up, but I also sort of physically jumped up in my bed as if I was reaching for something to hold onto... weird.

I'd Rather Be Riding Rollercoasters
I remember once riding Two Face the Flip Side. The train flew off the track, and landed in the picnic pavillions. Which is odd because it the track does't face the picnic pavillions. It gets even weirder. When I hit the groud I did't die, or even bleed (you can't feel pain in dreams so don't even ask). i just layed there in my horsecollar watching people walk by.

Hehe nice of you for posting that 3 times although it did gain effect each time I read that about "lying there in my horse-collar watching people walk by." I dont know why I find that so funny, I guess im just weird. Anywho, Im sure Ive had a lot of coaster dreams but theres one that comes to me at this moment. I was on the Hurler at Carowinds when it flew off the track and went flying through the air with the train starting to fall apart. I thought about how I was gonna die then the train slammed into the ground. I can't remember anything after that, I probably went into a deep sleep.

"I traded my soul for a ride on Millennium Force"

i had a dream with a really small inverted coaster that shot out using lim's. The coaster train was 2 seats and was 1 car. Very weird. any ways when it shot out the coaster went off the end of the track into a lake and the people on the ride drowned and i woke up. you could call that more of a nightmare.
another one I had was when i as on a roller coaster like X. It was so cool. This was like a 2 years ago before i heard about the 4th dimension roller coaster.
