Chris Godsey: and the attack of the taffy!

I e-mailed Lisa last night thanking her for all of SDC's hospitality and she e-mailed me back to tell me that they really want ACE to be present at the parks opening festivites. She also thanked all of us for attending the event and she looks forward to seeing us in the spring.

Having nothing better to do than to talk about me, now thats a little sad dont ya think?

See? This is what I get for pulling the junior vigilante squad off 'attack' mode. Next time I'll just let them have their way with you. Whatever.

Dude, all I am saying is let it go! There is no reason to beat a dead horse....and its January 3rd not January 4th. Sorry, I had the wrong day in the countdown script.

playa, dont bother, I bothered once, but it just pissed me off more and more and more....
Lisa and I have talked and we are having a ACE event at the CC one of the first two weekends in May. We are going to be talking about some of the details as early as the first week in Jan. I hope to have the flyer done very early for this event. Also the Coaster Christmas event will be an annual event in December at SDC. I will put up details at my ACE regional website (www.ACE18.org) when they become available.

Did anyone try the Wildfire taffy?...I had some earlier this year with Jim W. and it was by far one of the hottest things I have ever tasted. For a few moments, I think Jim thought I was going to pass out ...My eyes and nose started to run, I began sweating, and had this "daze" about me. When I brought a couple pieces home for my friends/family to enjoy, one friend, who enjoys eating hot and spicy foods, stated that the taffy "burned his soul". Now that's hot!

Pokeyron - Did you even read the title of this thread?? "Chris Godsey: and the attack of the taffy!" Does that give you any clue??

Jeff - Although I'm in a diffrent ACE region, I would love to come to that event! My first trip to SDC was just afew weeks ago, and it jumped up next to Holiday World as one of my favorite parks. I'm really looking forward to that new GCI, and my first visit to CC!

Great to hear the good news Jeff. Lisa was a wonderful hostess. It amazes me that some people can be so enthusiastic about their jobs. I envy her job, it's got to be a great one.

The whole crew at SDC is just the best. So friendly, it's almost as if they don't view their job as a job, but a way of life, and the park is their park. I love that. I wish more parks could adopt that feeling.

Corey - Yes any ACE member can come. We are leaning to the second weekend in May which is their Grand opening festivities will happen.

rOllocOASt,

The thread is about people and SDC taffy so Pokeyron asking if anybody has tried Wildfire taffy and sharing his experience is relevant. Unless I am missing something.

Jim

Yeah, don't worry about rollocoast, Ron. He's just bitter. I enjoyed your taffy story. :)

When are you gonna come down to good ol' Atlanta for some Pretzel Loop Action anyway? I haven't seen ya since CP closing day in 2000!

Joe, who will *probably* not be going to SDC next year...but one never knows!

I'm going to SFoG next year for the first time, my sister is studying to me a Molecular Cell Biologist at Emory U. in Atlanta...

SDC's crew is one of the nicest crews in the nation.

Why go to Hot'lanta to get pretzel loopin' time when we can make the 7 hour trip to the Windy City?

yeah, it's about 9 hr. from her to Atl. and over 9 to Chi. I live in Springfield Mo, 45 min. from SDC

Well I don't live in St Louis, but I did correct my post. It's 7 hours to Chicago from where I live. I think I was thinking from here to St Louis. Oh well.....

Chris,

Getting back to that can of worms thing - you don't happen to know where they are thinking about putting that do you?

New for 2002 @ SFoT - STOP!!!

Swoosh, I am not real sure on the location, but I have a feeling it will be where the flooded mine is now. I know they have been talking about removing it for a couple seasons now.

But, the strangest question in that survey was "If we replaced Lost River of the Ozarks with another attraction, would you still visit the park?" So, who knows...

rOllocOASt- I think my post is both timely and revelant. I wasn't for sure if the "banana chilli pepper taffy" and Wildfire taffy were the same thing. If memory serves me correctly, there are several different types of hot and spicy taffy available.

Jim-My thoughts exactly! :)

Joe-Unless your evil (or would that be good?) twin was running around at SRM '02 this year, I have in fact seen you since CP closing day '00. (I have pics of you yankin' the Legend bell rope this year to prove it) and remember the "Legend Chain" ride?...Evidentally I don't cause enough trouble to be that memorable. :) And your right, I'm about an 1 hour from St. Louis...Hopefull my Atlanta trip will work out next year. I'll keep you posted...
