Chang track at SFGam.

^I think SFA should put some love into the coasters they have before they think about adding something else (same could be said for most of the Six Flags parks, I think). I went there for the first time this August, and couldn't believe it. Even the Intamin hyper was extremely shaky, greaseless and just didn't feel right at all. The Wild One (although rough) was great, and the Premier launch coaster was fun too (no shoulder bars yay!). I never finished my trip report, I know - another thread.

I agree with Moosh.

(Just thought I'd throw that out there. ;))

This coaster should end up at SFA! Then they can finally melt down that Silly BatWing coaster!

Why would they remove a flying coaster to put in a standup?

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

What don't you understand about it? Why would a park want variety in there coaster selection? That kind of thinking is just ridiculous...

-Daniel

Variety is good...I only live close to Holiday World and SFKK so I don't get to see a lot of variety...woodies, a stand-up, and an inverted...would like to have more selection around here.

You need to learn how to drive, Blane. Kings Island shouldn't be too far from you either.

See, and here I was thinking that CoasterMonkey's premise was along the lines of "anything to be rid of that horrid Batwing contraption". Personally, I like the Vekoma flyers, but that was what I got from his post (whether or not that was the intention in his post is a whole other issue).

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

let's assume chang (which is a relatively large-medium sized coaster) is going to SFNE. youd have to take something out to put it in. you cant put it the parking lot on the other side of the water park. and the parking lot across the street isnt logical (if youre serious).

i guess you take out the picnic grove? or the rapids in the back?

my guess is chang will go to great adventure. they have more room to shoehorn in another ride.

You forgot the best ride at SFKK - Greezed Lightnin'. We still want it back ;)

Billy

You are right, I totally forgot about Greezed Lightnin'...lol...and LostKause you are right, I am not too terribly far from King's Island, I just haven't been there yet, surprisingly...

Okay, I have been reading this site for a while, I am on many other coasters sites and I have been following this topic for a while. First of all it has been confirmed by Mark Kane at GADv that Chang will not be going there so speculation about it going there can end. The only two reasonable parks it can go to, with Moosh's post about it going to the east of the Mississippi River, is SFNE and SFA.

Nothing can ever go in the grove and passed the river rapids because it is all wetlands and MA law's prevent anything being built on wetlands. However, it can fit in the parking lot on the Hurricane Harbor side of the park. I don't know why you say it can't. There is plenty of room. Previously there were gaslines there. But in the 2009 season and this off season they are in the process of moving them, no one knows why either. Also there were storage tents there too, on closing weekend and up until now, they are gone. No one knows why but it is probably for expansion. Also Larry Litton the park president said that SFNE may be receiving something from another park in 2011, it will be big, and everyone will love it. Could it be Chang? Most likely. He also said that nothing will be removed for a while, he wants new and old style attractions together. So there is a huge possibility for Chang at SFNE.

Also at SFA there is a lot of room, they are confirmed to get a steel coaster in 2011, and previously before Batwing they had permits for a stand up. So there you go, I think it will go to those two parks.

Don't listen to Gonch. Kings Island is one of the best seasonal parks in the country, imo.

Maybe SF would sell Chang to Cedar Fair, and it could be put in the empty space that Son of Beast will create. ;)

You're assuming I actually know what I'm talking about. And you know what happens when you assume...

^So you don't actually know where it is going or what area it is going into? I thought you said you heard it from the grapes or something like that, which leads me to think that you have a general idea where it is going.

Also, no I don't know what happens when I assume...

I never ever assume Moosh knows what he talks about.

I am not 100% sure where Chang is going.

I am 100% sure Chang is not going to SFGAm.

Even if Mark Kane said it wasn't going to Great Adventure I still think there is a chance it could go there. If there were/are plans for it to go to Great Adventure for 2011, I don't think they would actually say it was going to happen during a Q&A session in October probably over a year before they want to announce it. If he had said, yes it is coming to the park or there is a chance it would be going to be added to the park, it would have gotten online right away and ruined any announcements.

I'm not saying I think it will go to Great Adventure but that it is still a possibility even if the park says it isn't going to.

I am 100% sure I should never assume Moosh knows all. :)

It's gonna go where Bizarro/Superman is now. It's getting removed because I heard it's sinking... in the sand or something like that.

It's a fine park...like vanilla is a fine ice cream. Nothing too far to either side. Right down the middle. Easy on the palate. Nothing too outstanding, nothing too horrible. Safe and easy.
