Why is this ride (Wildcat) going to have two stations? Is it going to feature three-train operation?

-Nate

Not sure if both buildings are stations; one for loading and one unloading, but, GCI and the park said that the Ozark Wildcat will have two trains. The building nearest the brake run for train storage when running only one train. Just have to wait and see. Only got about 3 more months to go.

See I didn't understand why there were two stations either, unless it is something like the Boss's covered transfer track, which I bet it is (the second station). You can see in one of the photos that the station closest to the park side has a queue like stair way going up to the loading platform, so we know that one will be at least used for guests.

Not necessarily. Take a look at Roar (http://www.joyrides.com/sfa/full/roar3.htm) and you'll see a similar setup. The first "station" is just a covered brake run (and transfer track, I assume) and is not used for guests, despite the stairs. I assumed CC had confirmed both stations would be used when, apparently, they have not, which leads me to believe that the Ozark Wildcat will function the same as Roar. There's certainly no need for two stations on a ride with two trains.

Coasterdude, I was talking about the station closest to the park side of the coaster. You know from that station there is a swooping curve to the lift. One right after the brake run is more than likely the transfer house. I think that makes more sense than what I post earlier - sorry 'bout that.

Is it just me, or does the park seem small right now??

Edit: sorry... haha..... Great Pics Swoosh.

Yes it is small, but remember this is phase #1,.they are already planning expansions, including where the old BUSA parking lot was and then where the grass area is up by Route 66 Speedway.

Yep... I just wonder what could go in that old parking lot... hmm.... haha
And about the two stations thing... CoasterDude is right.

Well Bill, it has been rumored that a B&M might make it's way to that park. Also I would imagine that a "Tidal Wave" type ride will come as well.

Is it true that the third coaster will be a Miler Wildcat?

Am I really that shy?

No one is really sure.. and no parts have arrived at the park for it... so, i'm not sure.... I'm driving by the park tomorrow after school, so I'll take some pics of the park and extra parts... tobad my digital camera sucks.
Swoosh, I was disapointed when I found out that the Shoot the Chutes wasn't coming this year.
GCI often uses a 2 "station" setup - 1 area is a covered holding area and has transfer track and storage, the 2nd one is the station.

Gwazi, Roar and I'm sure a few other GCI designs use this setup.

Have Fun!

George

People who went to Coaster Christmas (ACE) at SDC know what it is. It was revealed to us at the dinner by the Head of R&D.
