Celebration City: 2004 and BEYOND

I know that a lot of you probably do not care about this at all, but I wanted to know what you thought about it...

What do all of you think will happen at Celebration City it's 2nd year, and years after?

I can see a lot happening to this park. They have pretty much an unlimited amount of space to expand the park, so ideas are not limited by any means... I could easily see them adding a Beemer, or a TA2K type ride or a ride like XCelerator... So what do you think?

I have heard a rumor for a new Beemer in the next few years there. That is all I have heard.

I can't decide is it BGW or SDC/CC.

I know they're probably adding a shoot the chutes in the next year or so too.

Let get the park open first before we start thinking what is coming in the years to come.

Well they already know what and where when it comes to expanding. It's no secret that they are going to end up using the old BUSA parking lot near Wildcat for expansion, and there is a lot of land as well. However, let's wait until the park opens before we discuss that. I do know that there will be a major attraction for SDC in 2004. That is not a secret, if you took that survey this summer you should know what to kind of expect

I drove by the park last weekend, looks great. Wildcat is gettin along amazingly... Those headchoppers will be awesome.

First, we have to wonder if the park will be a huge success, or a complete failure. Obviously, new parks are not doing to well right now.

Visionland, Jazzland, and Bonafate Gardens(sp) are all struggling.

Hopefully, with this park being in an area that is a tourist destination, it will do good. SDC Inc. has quite a reputation for good parks.

I have no doubt it will NOT be a 'failure'

But until they get some faster coasters, I can not see the people in CB liking the park to much.

I think that you (Duekis) have no idea of how much power the SDC brand has on things. To put it in perspective, think that the SDC brand is second only to Disney in pulling power. It's a very trusted brand, and the parks continuosly bring in the people. The quality of each park sets the standard for the area that each is located in.

And to think that SDC has won the Applause Award and not a single Disney park has..

Seems to me that Coasterbill1986 is getting bent out of shape since he is thinking that noone has even went to this park. Well I really hate to bust your bubble but I am sure there are alot of people on this very board that have been to this park as well as the other parks owned by Herscend Family Entertainment Corporation (formally known as Silver Dollar Inc).

As for calling it a top 10 ride before it is even built is abit crazy. Maybe you should wait till you get to take a spin on it before calling it a top ten ride. You are acting like you are the one building it.

Just calm down Coasterbill1986. It will be alright as long as you take a deep breath and move away from your computer for awhile.

I don't know where you get off saying that I am Bashing SDC INC.
They operate one of my favorite parks, Dollywood (also my home park) and created 2 of the greatest Water parks ever to be built.
I said, there is no 100% Way of knowing how good the park's attendance will be. The Average Public does not know who operates what park, and for the most part, have know idea who SDC INC. or Herchends Family Entertainment is.

How can you all say that I am saying that a park is bad, when It has not even opened yet?
I agree with you all saying that SDC INC is 2nd to Disney, Its in most cases is better than Busch. (No drunks running around after nightfall)

First off, you need to calm down and in the mean time grow up. Sorry, to hit you in the face with that - but it's the truth. Second of all, SDC is well known and yes it is common knowledge that CCity will be built by SDC and run by it. Need proof? Look at all the advertising. It's states that it's a "NEW SILVER DOLLAR CITY PARK", I think that they'll get the idea sooner or later. :)
