At CP in '05, a fellow employee who was from the UK (and an avid coaster junkie in his own right), and myself, rode MS on our day off. He had never been on a woodie, so I took him on the ride.
About halfway through, I belive his EXACT words were "Bloody HellQ You trying to kill me?" I replied "There's a reason why it's called MEAN Streak!"
Yeah, MS may neec some work, but I still like it.

I dont understand why they would make a post like that (with all their puns) if it werent for anything special...

Very cool. I noticed one of the display models comes with its own office chair. Does it come with its own office chair roller coaster? And does it count for a credit if your own action figure gets to ride it? :)
No, but you could take your action figure with you on coasters and start his or her own coaster credits. Mini-personalized credit whore.
Or if your a credit whore you could count that as a child and say that you are accompanying it on a kiddie ride.

Sounds like a charming but foolproof way to make it on to Youtube. Especially if you talk to your action figure while boarding/riding/waiting in line . . . and if you make sure to wear matching outfits . . . and if you do your action figure's little voice when he talks back to you . . .
Why, I feel inspired. :)

Looking at it yesterday it's not really much lumber at all, but It also isn't the dimensions of lumber you would use in a fence or a building.
It is 16 and 12 foot lengths of wolmanized lumber. Looked to be 2 x 8's.
Just glanced at it quickly as I drove out of the Gemini lot yesterday.

The pile of wood is additional kindling to help set fire to Mean Streak.
Wow that new sign at the entrance of Mean Streak made it a better ride!
Naw. The 'Streaks fine, just delete the trims.

MS was so slow this weekend. I went on with some friend that had never been on and even they thought it was bad. They were asking me why they slowed the ride down so much on the hill and i didnt have any good answer for them. Lets hope they do something GOOD to that ride.
Its sad when your best friend asks you the exact running time of a ride. Good thing I didnt know.
MS being redone reminded me of a ancient thread that given the circumstances seems pretty entertaining in hindsght.
A prediction: Mean Streak gone within 5 years.
Five years later and they're trying to fix it, not remove it. :)
I just had a crazy, nutso thought: What if CP is gonna do something simlar to KW, and what they did w/ Steel Phantom (nee Phantom's Revenge)? You know, keep a few parts then revamp the rest?
What would you call MS then? Nasty Streak? Meaner Streak? Streaker's Revenge? :)

I'm not sure if this joke has been made yet but I plan on delivering a big wood shipment later tonight.

Polished turd?
that doesn't mean that all future deliveries like this are for the samepurpose. We always try to tell you when something big arrives that getsour attention.
Ah...how I would love to see a future delivery of lots of wood for something big.

Either it's more interesting than a new bathroom and less interesting than a new coaster, or it's just stirring the poop for what benefit I can't really imagine.
Turns out it was less interesting than a new bathroom.
Hate to say, "I told you so" but...
...that's a really nice new handrail on Mean Streak, huh? :)
