Cedar Point dropping hints for 2010

HeyIsntThatRob?'s avatar

Since we're on Cleveland sports we could call it Maybe Next Year: The Ride.

New for 2010: Cedar Fair Pale Ale.

(well...they did say something was brewing, right?)

LOL, I'd try it! I'd rather it be an IPA, though.

They could rename the drop tower part of the Power Tower Braylin Edwards.

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

^ How many drops would that thing have?

It depends on the season. But on your average sunday, I'd say at least four.

I call Cedar Point my home park even though I live in the Chicago Suburbs.

But I was thinking the Steelers.... there you made me say it, now I have to go shower.

Okay, I'll agree with you on that. In New England, there a GOOD black & gold (the Bruins), and a BAD black an gold (the Steelers, BOOO!!!!)

It could be that CP is building a brewery to diversify it's reveneu.

I can see the line up now:

MF Lager: Smooth and refeshing

Mantis: So strong, it gives you an instant headach.

Disaster Stout: Darker than a black hole.

Wicked Twister Tea: A version of twisted tea.

Woodstock Express: a root beer for kids and adults.

Grabed this link from another site. http://twitter.com/cedarpoint/status/3124717439

I don't know if this came from CP or just a fan responding.

I could see this happening though.

Supposing it is indeed an official CP tweet, I find it interesting that they would go so far as to tease us with ride types. That's usually the last thing they tell us. Of course, it could very well just be Tony messing with us again.

I'm guessing the latter.. He's probably watching the forums blow up right now with a big grin on his face.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

Yes, the kinds on PointBuzz don't know many other words. And yes, that is CP's Twitter account.

Couldn't it be a storm that is "brewing"?

I don't think they are as clever as Paula.

I can't help but think this may be the end of Cedar Creek Mine Ride.

If the new ride is supposed to open in 2010....I cant think of why they would not have already removed Cedar Creek Mine Ride if it was on the chopping block. What does make more sense is the Snake River Falls removal rumor. However I could easily be wrong.

DaveStroem's avatar

I have a feeling that both could be on the chopping block. This is just my feeling and is not based on anything.

Mamoosh's avatar

Why would CCMR be removed? A new water ride or coaster can easily be built around, over, under, and through it. In fact I'd think a new log flume or wood coaster would not only be a perfect fit to the mine ride but add to its ride experience.

The only thing getting chopped are trees.

eightdotthree's avatar

I only say that because ridership is low and it can't be cheap to maintain anymore. It could very well be a new flume. Its location on Millenium Island would make it accessible from the other water rides and the snoopy kids area.

Mine ride just got a ton of new wood this year, so I doubt it is going any time soo.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
