But breaking records it easy. Any marketing department can come up with a record to break. In fact anyone can do it. I just broke the world's record for the most time sitting in a chair on Sunday, Aug 16 in my house while my dog is laying on the floor in the other room. No one has ever sat in a chair longer at my house on Aug 16 while my dog sits in the other room...ever!
just nevermind jeez... Ok I'm goin for a standard B&M dive machine with splash down. doesn't brake records but is a good ride. There:)

Uhm......I'm going with a Flyer. Several parks have Flyers - sooooo, CP could try for the world's highest, steepest Flyer, perhaps? That is - until someone from Japan rides the Flyer, then goes back home and builds an exact duplicate 8 feet higher to reclaim the title.
very broken pacing and a lack of airtime I think that a dive machine would be the most disappointing ride they could add followed by a flyer. I am really hoping for a grvity group woodie they have two wooden coaster that are terible. Every park should have at least 1 fun wooden coaster especialy a park with 17 or 18???? coasters.
Yeah I was just at the Point this past Thursday and Friday and Blue Streak was so smooth with lots of fun hills and airtime. I enjoyed the ride honestly. Let me just say it surprised me, and for being 45 years old this year it is amazing how well it still runs!

Zeus, I will trade you Blue Streak if you don't want it. Feel free to take any woodie in New England save for Boulder Dash.

Dragster cost $25 million however it's not a full circuit like Millie.
Huh? Well then where do the cars goes when they come back down?
Just reading these posts about record breakers, I hope people realize that the costs don't simply go up proportionally with the height. Along with more steel for the track and structure is more wind bracing, larger foundations, more costly mechanism to get your coaster up to that record breaking height. Not to mention premium labor costs, safety provisions, electrical conduit, etc. The list goes on. We just got a memo in the office from one of our vendors saying that the cost of corrugated metal pipe is increasing by 17% because steel demand and prices are on the rise again.
Along with all that will be more b****ing when the park raises its admission by 3 bucks and hot dogs by 50 cents. The loudest complainers will be the people who wanted the record breaker in the first place.

In fact, you just broke a record for the number of times you've personally used that analogy... :)

That old hint showed a picture of the lake/ river thing and then MF island in the backround. Maybe a GCI with splashdown?
Just have to comment on how the internet can't spell brake or break with any consistency.
Carry on.
I was under the impression that he was spelling brake correctly and wishing for a world record MCBR. Perhaps I'm mistaken.

if it's something unusual and that we wouldn't expect. What about and an S&S Freefly?
I understand you're new here, but come on man... hang out and watch for awhile. You're closing in on a hundred posts in your first three days and a lot of them are wishlist posts like this.
Observe. Wait. Engage.

It wasn't targeted at any one post, the same mistake is made on the Bike Pittsburgh message board when referring to things breaking or repairing brakes.
A mid course brake run longer than the one on The Beast? No thanks...!
Sounds like the Bike Pittsburgh message board might be overrun with comments about brakes breaking? Broken brakes? All I know is that if I were biking in Pittsburgh I would not want my brakes to break. I would want them to brake. Reliably.
(I don't bike in Pittsburgh, but my bike does have a very reliable brake built into the rear hub. Only trouble with that hub is that sometimes the gearing breaks loose in 4th or 5th gear. Hub is a Shimano Nexus 7CB; anybody got an adjustment procedure?)

Most of us want a B&M dive machine, Some of us want a 500 footer, A few of us want a B&M floor less, I am in the group that would like to see Cedar Point put in a new and exciting woodie. I don't care how tall or fast a coaster is. All I care about is the trill that a coaster can bring. look at Maverick. Its not to tall nor is it to fast but it is fun. I love Maverick it is my favorite ride in the park.
I just hope cedar point puts in a new wooden coaster.
