can't we just ask the prophet of zoom? Cedar Fair seems to love the new crosspark advertising.
Intimidator 305 the tallest most hated coaster nobody has ever ridden...

I thought the coaster wars were dead. Isn't that the war GW was talking about with that whole "Mission Accomplished" speech?
Coaster wars are over???
Says who?
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Over! Did you say over!
Nothing is over till WE say it is!
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Mumbo Jumbo= 112degree drop new worlds steepest drop. Ring racer= 135MPH worlds fastest roller coaster. The two records broken this year. The wars aren't over :)
Maverick....steepest drop.
The wars may be over for the time as far as height, but there are many other records to be broken.

Dragster cost $25 million and all it does it launch, go up, and come down. Period. They're obviously not going to build a copy of Dragster that is taller so then where do you go? Loops? Helices? And do you realize just how much all of that additional steel will cost?
Not. Gonna. Happen.
I think that the height record for non launch, continuous circuit roller coaster is just over the horizon, but not at CP. I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of height record broken there pretty soon though. ;)

They could very easily "break" records with the new ride. It's not like there are that many installations of it out there, anyway.

"Coaster Wars" are far from dead. CP generally sets the pace for "unique" coaster elements, height, etc... an example being "Maverick" (Terracoaster - "Terrain"). Some additional examples being "Maggie" (world's first 200ft), "Millie" (world's first 300ft), and Dragster (world's first 400ft). I wouldn't be suprised if CP built the world's first 500ft. Think of the money their dishing out for all three rides combined (Carowinds, KD, and CP). A Giga cost around $25 million, right? Now add a Hyper, then whatever CP is building. Hmmm............... all three rides combined - uhm......alot? My guess between $40 - $50 million. Perhaps the cost of the world's first 500ft? Dragster cost $25 million however it's not a full circuit like Millie. I'm gonna think outside the bun here for a minute...... Millie has been ranked the #1 or #2 steel roller coaster in the world - running neck and neck with Bizarro. The new Giga will more than likely knock both Millie and Bizarro to the #2 and #3 slots respectively. I get Cedar Fair knocking Bizarro out of ranks, but Millie too? Does this mean something bigger is in the making for CP in 2011 or 2012?

Why? Since when does breaking a record equal a good ride?

I agree however a record breaker is always welcome.
It doesn't. Just saying it would be cool to see Cedar Point build a great new coaster that also brakes a record:)
