Pretend it's your first day of school. Lay low and observe...see how we operate, how we all interact, and more importantly what kinds of discussions are encouraged and which are not. And if you haven't done so do yourself a favor: go back and read the Terms of Service you scolled past without reading to click "agree" when you joined. You'll find it very usedful.

We went through this before the HW2010 announcement too. The enthusisats who have a narrow-minded POV -- i.e. to them every new addition just has to be a new coaster -- were guessing Intamin Megalites and Spinning Coasters*. And now we see it happening with CP2010.
*not sure how anyone got the idea HW was adding a spinning coaster! (looks around innocently and whistles)
I am not sure where that started, either. No certain Coasterbuzz member can take sole credit for the excitement. It's obvious that Tony and Tyler have gone totally mad with power. They can control the masses of the coaster fans with only a poll, a pun, or a picture of dirt.
I imagine if they really wanted to cause chaos, they would run off and start dropping the names of various coaster manufacturers. Hope the CP police can double as riot police.
Edit2: I removed the edit.
Actually, it's the posting guidelines you want:

OUCH! My ears! My ears!
PWE is not going anywhere until Dick retires, or so I've been led to understand.
Driving those boats is no easy task, but then you need to add memorizing the spiel and keeping everyone safe. No joke, PWE is the hardest ride to operate at Cedar Point. Yeah, that's right. I'm awesome! lol
Tony and Tyler's hints are very clever, btw. ;)

^My last ride included a boat which stalled several times, promptly became out of control, took us through some trees on the bank and quickly filled the boat with thousands of Muffelheads. It was funny and scary at the same time. After that experience, I felt they needed to bump up the thrill rating to 3 or 4. ;) I have pictures somewhere. If I can find them , I'll post them.

Huh? Well then where do the cars goes when they come back down?
Just reading these posts about record breakers, I hope people realize that the costs don't simply go up proportionally with the height. Along with more steel for the track and structure is more wind bracing, larger foundations, more costly mechanism to get your coaster up to that record breaking height. Not to mention premium labor costs, safety provisions, electrical conduit, etc. The list goes on. We just got a memo in the office from one of our vendors saying that the cost of corrugated metal pipe is increasing by 17% because steel demand and prices are on the rise again.
Along with all that will be more b****ing when the park raises its admission by 3 bucks and hot dogs by 50 cents. The loudest complainers will be the people who wanted the record breaker in the first place.
Naw......... but we will be the first in line and the loudest screamers on the record breakers with our hands held high in the air with our $7.00 hot dogs flapping in the wind.

I thought about this real hard, and when you were a captain, you had lighter hair, didn't you? I totally remember talking to you a couple of times over the summer. My wife and I used to come up every weekend, and it was never complete without a ride on Paddlewheel.
Food for Thought:
As I've mentioned before.....
Carowinds - "White Lightning"
KD - "Intimidator"
Now.....what about.....
Cedar Point - "Ironman"
"Ironman" would make perfect sense for Cedar Point's new ride assuming it's a coaster - or even a flat for that matter. Any thoughts?

I saw this same thing happen a few years ago. One of the boats started spinning in circles as it approached the dock and eventually ran its self into the island bank. It was fairly amusing to watch. I wonder if it's something that happens often?
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Was that the first ride of the day on Coastermania Saturday? I think I might have been on that boat with you.
Our boat outright died on the second-to-last day a couple of years ago. They had to motor out another one and walk everyone on to the other boat. I don't know if the operator of the first survived. :)

If he was truly dedicated to his job, he would have gone down with the ship.
Remember when the Western Cruise featured a half-sunk, flaming Western Cruise boat?
