Cedar Point and Knott's removing VertiGo

Still unsure of what caused one of VertiGo's three towers to fall, Cedar Point and Knott's Berry Farm are getting rid of VertiGo. The press release indicates that the relationship with S&S Power, the ride's manufacturer, is still "strong."

Just this thought:

Cedar Point was in a lose-lose situation. Taking it down they are being criticized (though I believe it was the right thing to do). Had they left it up and a similar accident occurred, imagine the response then!

As is the proven record with Cedar Point, safety is their number one priority and not all parks can say that.

Just a quick thought on rumors. Without facts, of course people are going to speculate. It is not a bad thing to speculate. I don't think anyone should get upset because people are speculating...it's human nature.

To clarify, the problem is with folks taking speculation as fact. But just because someone didn't release 'facts' doesn't mean that we should all shut our mouths about it. There would be no CB without speculation!

I won't be surprised when SFMM keeps theirs, because, then they would be the "only" park with an S&S Sling SHot attraction, helping them further their name as, the one and only Xtreme Park!!!!

Intiman Fan suddgested a skyscraper attraction. I second that. DP has one so CF is familar with it. It's a SCARY ride.

I always thought it was kind of silly for both SFMM and KBF to have the same ride so close together. In any event, Ghost Town was the wrong place to put the Insane ride. I would like to see a Sky Scraper instead, and put it somewhere over on the boardwalk.

How about slapping 6 skyscrapers together with a larger motor to increase capacity.

Oh...and design it so it don't fall down and go boom.

Think of it like RCT...

"Guests will not ride Vertigo because it is unsafe"...

Even if it is open, I am sure guests wouldn't flock as much.. however, I would, because I know danger is involved =)

I glad CP is getting rid-off that ride. It's to expensive anyway!!!!!!!!!!! Why pay an extra fee to ride when you have hundreds of other things to do at the Park
