Maybe they'll be racin' "in a whole new direction"... ;)

There's still a lotta track & space left to fill.

I bet the name of the coaster will be Sidewinder.

I need to get out to CP one of these days. I have never been there.

If this turns out to be a motorbike style coaster, then I'm all for it. That would be awesome and definately a different ride. Though those wingwalker trains still look like fun.

But you will see signs of sidewindin' !!!

Some "Serious Sidewindin'" :) *** Edited 8/22/2006 3:44:48 AM UTC by CoasterStreak***

Roller Coasters are to Inversions : as Gymnastics is to Flips.
What's the difference?

Motorbike sounds fun, but I'm not sure if the Motorbike theme fits in with all the "western" sounding hints we have been getting. Not that it appears they are using a "theme" or anything. :)

You have disturbed the forbidden temple, now-you-will-pay!!!

Motorbike + head = horsey

But I'm doubting any of that.

Ok, so according to Screamscape these pics from PointBuzz show track for the new coaster that is appropriate for a LIM launch. http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4920

And according to RCDB here http://rcdb.com/id2787.htm , Rita:Queen of Speed is a hydraulically launched coaster.

Does this rule out a Rita clone/adaptation?

What other LIM launched Intamins are out there besides the WT-type shuttle coasters? I couldn't find any unless its the elusive aquatrax you guys talk about.

Speed:The Ride, the Premier-built coaster in Vegas is fun and has a second set of LIM's halfway through the circuit which bumps the speed from 35 to 70mph in 2 seconds (without box track...LOL). Wouldn't be a bad idea here at CP.

Discuss....

Other than Impulse coasters, just Volcano and the Half-Pipes. CA Screamin' and the reverse-freefalls are LSM-powered...

According to RCDB, the Aquatrax is a LIM coaster. It looks like there's a lift hill, but I think its all LIM powered.

This coaster obviously has a lot of similarities to Rita...time will tell just how similar they are to one another.

Ok everyone look at the shadow of the bunny hill any guess's on the height? ;)
Although I know it's here somewhere, I don't want to go back and sift through all the crap to find it. Would someone provide a link or tell me what park has an aquatrax already and what is the name of the ride?

I like pointy hills. :) Pointy hills + speed = ejector air!

Anyone notice how the supports here are unusually shaped in the letter "M"... M for Maverick? Just a thought!

Rereading my post there in Twister's quote made me realize someone should totally break out the "That's what SHE said" line. Seriously, quote me, make the post, and I'll delete this one and you can get all the credit and everything. ;)
long trains don't work with pointy hills? Looks like this will have smaller cars, I'm totally lost now ?

Hurry up and make that darn announcement!

How do long trains not work with "pointy" hills? Where do you people come up with this stuff? The radi on dragster is tighter than that.
