ROFL, Gotham. I was just giving you a hard time ;)
The tracks are decoys. The entire construction site is a farse.

The actual project is slowly being built - one wooden slat at a time in a secret tunnel under T.G.I. Fridays.

Get ready for the return of genuine copy of a fake modified classic: "Flying Straights!"

Isn't it really silly and pointless to cover the track at this point?

pretty much I think
Direct link to the funcoast article without going through another site to get to it. Also has a few more pictures of the track and video of the track being unloaded.

I obviously have no idea whats going on, but that track lacks the 'track marks'(the unpainted area) that occupy just about every other Intamin coaster. That 'track' could be for decorative purposes... I'm probably wrong though..

^JamminJ probably has the best idea so far.

Nope, its there. Look a lil closer.

While I'm not saying they aren't there, they definitely aren't clearly visable like most of the other Intamins. Why would they need it to blend in? There could be track marks there.. or it could just be a shadow.

Yes I actually do agree with you there. Not enough to have me fully convinced though.

Yea it is pretty much pointless. They are covering the track to keep it a secret not to keep them away from the elements. And we all know now what it is so I don't think there is a need to have them covered anymore.

That being said, it takes all of 5 minutes to cover these things with a tarp, if it makes them feel better, whatever, go for it, I doubt at this point they're really wringing their hands about tarps or no tarps.

So...besides the tarps and the manufacturer, I haven't seen much here about the shape of the track.

The radius looks remarkably large for an aquatrax, you know? Not to mention the triangular track usually indicates some relatively high g-forces in play.

The only aquatrax in existence is mostly triangular track with some two-rail track.

Looking at the pics I had forgotten that so much of the lotte world ride was also trangular. It makes me wonder exactly where Intamin's cut offs are for the 2 rail, triangular, and box track styles.

Where exactly is the transition on MF? The station bunny hop looks to be the triangle but the hill from the island looks to still be square. Is it in the tunnel? *** Edited 5/11/2006 2:21:05 PM UTC by matt.***

so are you saying this is wear from a previous use or an ID of some kind that tells who made the track?

How amazing would it be if this storage area was just a tease and these Intamin parts were actually for GL, while the real parts for CP won't show for months. Could that have something to do with the "put 2 and 2" qoute together? -lol- Hey I can dream right!? ;)
