CCI Website: Gone

Raging Rider

Just today I went to check out CCI's website at www.customcoasters.com, but I tried two or three times and each time it said Can't Find Website. Does anyone know what's going on, or if they just discontinued their site?

They're a sales rep, not CCI.

I am not going to say much with Respect to the Dinn/Larrick Family.

Lets just say things might be wrapping up.

Chuck, who knows more than he should but was told the same thing last year before the LCSM project was announced.

I'm gonna put 2 and 2 togeather here and say this is the news that jeff knows about that would upset people here.

COULD this be the end of the great CCI?

I am thinking more of a merging with another company perhaps? GCI? Intamin?

It was mentioned that the CCI sign in front of their headquarters is gone. Just doesn't seem like a company with as much business as CCI does would be going under.

This year they had LOCOSUMO, Modified The Legend, new coaster for New Mexico, worked on Screechin Eagle, some more too. Seems like plenty of business to keep a small operation like CCI afloat.

They're listed as an exhibitor for the IAAPA show, so it wouldn't make sense if they were closing shop, yet still hosting a booth. Their server probably went down or something. I was just on their site about 2 days ago.

I may not belive in God...but what the heck...I'll pray just in case I'm wrong. I'd rather the "disappointment" had something to do with Socal than Ohio...and I live in Socal.

If CCI goes under I wil cry my eyes out. I would really love to seem them merge with Intamin. That would be some awesome wooden coasters!

Because there site is down you have concluded they are going out of business. Haven't you ever been to a website that just wasn't working. I doubt they have 24 hour monitoring of whatever server and they probably do not even know about it. I'm not saying that there is nothing going on with CCI, but if you are trying to conclude this from the fact their website is having problems, you are fools.

Also, look at how well their business is doing, and no company takes their site down because they are merging.

I thought Pop World Media hosted it (aka Jeff.) I know he used to host it, but it's not listed on Pop's website anymore. Whats the deal, Jeff?

I agree Eric, but what is throwing me off is what Charles said along with the fact that the CCI sign in front of their headquarters is reportedly gone.

As for Pop World hosting the site I have never heard that. Is that true Jeff?

Well, I don't think it means they're going under at all. I think they'd be the company to make Enchanted Village's new woodie. The most could be merging, not much else.

The sign has been gone for a LONG TIME!!!! I believe they moved into a new building a while back and never kept the sign when that happened. I live 30 mins from CCI.

What do you mean? Listed where? On this: http://www.popw.com/home.asp? I don't see my other web site either and it's hosted by him. I don't get what you're saying.

Edit: the WHOIS: http://www.netsol.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois?STRING=customcoasters.com&SearchType=do&STRING2.x=19&STRING2.y=0

Still owned by CCI and points to POP World.

Edit 2: Just heard POP doesn't host them anymore; that's interesting, as the DNS entries haven't updated. That's odd. If they go out of business... hmm, let's see who bought a lot of CCI's recently... am I seeing a pattern here: Six Flags?! ;) (sarcasm)

I'm also hearing reports from People who Know (tm- Jeff) that CCI is closing up shop. I don't know that is the reason why the website is down, but I've had a couple of confirmations now that they are finishing up. Why? That I don't know.

But it's not looking good for the manufacturer of so many of our favorite coasters.

I'm gonna agree with MagnumForce, it doesn't make sense for CCI to be shutting down. They're not a huge operation, and with the amount of business they're doing, it just doesn't add up for them to be closing.

Unless of course, they're pulling an Arrow and building coasters that are tearing themselves apart ;)

No...I'm not a fool. Just because I put Jeff's "bad news" and "CCI's website down" together (and the Rattler delay) together, does not mean I'm a fool. Guessing does not a fool make. Be nice!
