Never going to happen. People have jobs and many will come out of state.

I understood that, but to get to the event Sat AM, out of state attendees have to get up really early or travel the night before (maybe even miss a day at work or a portion of the workday Friday). What would be the difference traveling home Sunday afternoon or evening and arriving later on Saturday? Those who wished to visit the park for 2 days could visit the park on Saturday and Sunday regardless of whether or not the event is on a Satuday or Sunday.

In addition to full time jobs many of us have full time families. Those of us who have families know what I am referring to when I talk about soccer, baseball, dance class, cheerleading, b-day parties etc etc etc.

But anyways it is understood that an event will likely never be on a Sunday, but I just thought I would put it out there since so many different ideas were offered up earlier in the post.

I guess like it was said earlier, you can't please everyone when it comes to timing of events. Those of us who wish to attend just have to decide where our priorities lie.

Events DO happen on Sunday, but Saturday is usually more popular. One difference is that people can spend the evening at the park on Saturdays.

Can ERT be at night or does SFGA want to do it in the morning?

Last year, it was in the morning. Note to self: DON'T get sloshed the night before. S:UF + too much booze = only six laps.
I DJ until 4:00am every Friday night, so getting up early on Saturday isn't all that easy for me, but I didn't mind last year. 11 laps on S:UF with 1 hour of sleep was pretty surreal.

I know it's been mentioned before, but I'm really hoping for ERT on Deja Vu or Raging Bull this time around.

Thanks for making this event happen!

:-)

For a lurker's $.02 I'd be interested in one in the fall. Preferably one of their last weekends before they change over to Halloweekends because it'll be nice and slow. Also when working on setting up ERT's I'd love a Whizzer one and if possible some sort of a walkback under the tree covered Schwartzkopf Masterpiece would be very cool!

Have Fun!

May 22 is it. Mark your calendars. As soon as I get the contract and we figure out an itinerary, I'll post the registration flyer.

Sounds great looking forward to it! Try to get a 48" ride included. :)

Sounds good to me. I'll probably go. It's the day after my last day of 8th grade and going to SFGAm would be an awesome start to the end of middle school :-D *** Edited 2/23/2004 5:42:41 PM UTC by DejaVuGurl1203***
Jeff,

You're the man, thanks for getting this set up, look forward to meeting all the CB members that day, let's pray for decent weather.

This is going to be sweet. 2nd chance to go to SFGAm, and this time I hope to get to ride Viper. 2 events in one year, that's just crazy

woohoo! Glad it is in May...no way they'd let me off for an event in September. Too many students needing passwords and accounts.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Jeff comes thru again!

OK everyone, mark that meeting calendar so Jeff can get a good count.

And now Jeff takes roll call.

Jeff: "Chitown"?

Chitown: "Here sir"

Jeff: "Chitown's daughter Jasmine" ?

Jasmine: (In little innocent voice) "here"

:) :)

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

And now those of us who met Jasmine last year will be reminded how old we're getting watching kids grow up fast...
