Carowinds 2010 Question

The way they name things there, I'm surprised it isn't Carolina Lightning.

It's not ThunderLightningHawk?

I know many of you know this, but for the rest of yas...White Lightnin' was the name of the Anton shuttle they eliminated 20+ years ago. http://www.rcdb.com/id667.htm

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

I think were getting a B&M hyper at 250ft. but I made a video on the construction and it has a teaser for our new coaster plus some pics from the B&M plant.

There is no B&M plant. There's a fabricator they contract with, but B&M is not in the business of manufacturing anything.

I believe B&M makes the trains and spare parts in Switzerland, don't they?

After going to the park on tuesday and looking at the teasers they have in place, and the footer layout, I am going to guess that they are building a ride like x celerator at knotts. Makes sense.

They now have a large crate in the park that says "do not open till 2010". It also has race car sounds comming from it as well. The door to the crate is cracked open just a hair, and there is nothing but storage racks and shelfing in it. But what I noticed was that there is a "12-E" located on the front of the crate in blue. Maybe they are transfering disaster transport to carowinds?...lol

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The footers extend from the construction area all the way down to the south gate. The spraypainted footer markings match those seen on other B&M projects. It's a B&M hyper out-and-back a-la Behemoth and Diamondback.

I would be surprised if it weren't a B&M hyper. CF seems to have a thing for hypers and installed a whole bunch of Steve Okamoto projects back in the early 90's so it seems like B&M's are the new thing.

Then again, does Carowinds have any launch coasters?

I posted a few construction pictures and other general park pictures in the picture forum...

White Lightning is what us West Virginians call Moonshine. Now you know what the park is really up to. ;)

I see scary people like that around here every day. lol

Say... Wasn't Thunder Road a movie about running shine? Hmmm...

If you look at Carowinds Connection, the footers at the construction site look like a more solid version of the station/brakerun/storage track footers of both diamondback and behemoth. However there are a few footers off to the side that indicate possibly some kind of turn or what not. I think if it is a B&M hyper then it won't be EXACTLY like the 2009 models. I think they will pull a sheikra/griffon thing and intensify it a little bit.

It's an out-and-back. The footers extend all the way down to the southern entrance and back. Are my previous posts in this thread that say the exact same thing invisible?

Wait, who said that? Do you hear something?

Silly Moosh. Everyone knows that those footers aren't for the new coaster. The park will sell a lot more ice cream after the new coaster opens, and those footers are for the extra Dippin' dot stands. ;)
