can't find wacky worlds

I just went to 4 different stores this morning, and none of them had Wacky Worlds. Was the release date changed? The official website still says coming May 6th. Best Buy's computer had the release date at May 8th. The other 3 stores just didn't have it yet. They even checked in the back. Why is it so hard to find a game that was scheduled to be released today? Is anyone else having this problem?

Ditto for Massachusetts stores. I live near Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, EB, and GameStop. EB was the only one who said "shipped today, will be here tommorrow." Bummer!

The Release date for WW is May 6, today...however, there is shipping to many stores and retailers, not to mention online orders. Expect it in stores on the 7th or 8th.

Same here. I asked at several stores, and nobody had even heard of it. They checked their computers, shruged, and said maybe they'd have it in "in a couple of days".

What the heck?

I don't get it. Every other game has always been available on its advertised release day (even if I had to nudge them to go get it from the back).

I dunno what's going on, but I'd say Infogrames messed up.

I checked with Comp USA and they are not selling it and have no intentions on selling it. Ever. Guess the game sucks that badly.

So why did everywhere say it would be the 6th? I heard a few stores got it here and there, but almost nobody else did. Very frustrating. Someone dropped the ball, big-time.

From someone who did get it, there are absolutely no new rides in the Wacky Worlds expansion. There are existing rides re-themed (a half dozen variations on a snow-cups ride, and existing coasters with some new trains that mostly look stupid like the 'panda coaster'), but no new ones.

And that's just beyond lame. I was hoping for at least a rocket coaster.

I may not buy it after all. At least not for $30. I'll wait until I can buy it for half that.

Hate to say "I told you so", but...well, you've all read the threads. This has pretty much been fact for over 2 months (yes, it's fact if I say it ;) )

I can't believe a lot of you are still feeling disappointed. I'm still wanting it, I just don't know when I'll get a chance to run out and grab my copy.

Maybe now we all understand the pattern? Original comes out, add-ons follow, but include little or no new rides and mostly theming and aesthetic items. We all moan and whine, make more wish lists and are angry again when the second add-on contains more of the same.

The soonest you're going to see new rides is RCT3.

I must make my stand on this. I'm not planing on picking it up right away if it lacks new rides and if it doesn't have the Rocket Coaster I may not get it at all.

If it lacks new rides you won't get it right away. If it lacks new rides it's unlikely to have the Rocket Coaster :-)

Annonomouse What about the Chaos looking ride from the screenshot? Is it just a rethemed ride from the old game that we didn't rcognize?

One more question for anyone who has/gets the game. How is the custom scenery you have affected? Do you get to keep it or does the game freak out over it and give you error messages?

Got it this a.m. at Circuit City in Natick Mass. I don't have time to play it until later, but I can tell you from the manual that the new scenarios take place on different continents..

Africa: Victoria Falls, Diamond Mine, and Oasis

Antarctica: Icebergs

Asia: Japanese Coastal Reclaim, Great Wall of China Tourism Enhancement, and Maharaja Palace

Australia: Ayers Rock and Fun at the Beach

Europe: European Cultural Festival and Renovation

North America: RollerCoaster Heaven, Hawaii, and Crand Canyon

South America: Rain Forest Plateau, Rio Carnival, and Inca Lost City.

I don't have any info on rides yet, but I'll check in later.

It's out! Although this was the only store that had it locally out of all of the major stores.
