Can someone explain this to me??

...And I quote, "Most rides worldwide". Doesn't specify what type, whether they're kiddy or not, upcharge or not.

That's smart advertising if you ask me, and it would hold up in court. What park visitor is going to actually count each ride and compare it with Cedar Point's line up? Get real.

This is what I like to call, "looking for things the whine about because you hate Six Flags, a want Cedar Fair to WIN at all costs, about everything".

It's also about the time I tell people it's time to get out and go ride some coasters. After one spin on Millennium Force, win any of this crap matter?

*sits and wonders how this topic is more relevant, worth talking about or intelligent than the speculation topics about rides coming next year......*

Great Adventure must count each Bumper Car, Tilt A Whirl car, and ferris wheel gondola as a seperate ride. Then for attractions the water fountains, shops, bathrooms, etc.

LOL

Well, if you look at the facts, it really isn't false advertising.

How ironic that I'd find the answer in a DVD most enthusiasts own.

I was watching America's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills this evening and at the beginning of each coaster segement they do a little bit about the park that the coaster resides in. In the opening of the Medusa segment they are talking about SFGAdv and they mention that the park has 75 rides giving it the largest collection of rides in the world.

I'm not saying the DVD is a definitive source, just that a 3rd party has backed the claim made on the website. If the total is indeed 75 rides then I'd probably agree with that.

I'll be there on the 9th so maybe I'll waste my day counting

SFGAm's ads are all their rides

Sure the park COULD use big money and make a commercial with their rides and skip on new rides and additions, but which would you prefer?

Technically no they don't. On many of their ads this year they have used the Deja Vu from Magic Mountain. You can tell because there is a wooden coaster in the background which is not present at SFGAm. You also would have to be a nerd enthusiast like me to pick that out. They also used some Batman shots from Magic Mountain in some of their commercials this year. Again, 99.9% of the public will ever know.
