I would prefer for this to be sometime in late July...
I don't think so......we do this in late July and we'll still be standing in lines for rides come August.
I'd have to vote for May (hoping for light crowds) though not too close to SRM, if possible.

Wow, CBuzzCon was one of the greatest events of the year - definitly the winner ERT wise; if this is pulled off, it is sure to be a blast.

52 visits to 4 CF parks in '02 with a season pass, free. Knowing I saved $1603, priceless.
Sounds great Jeff! As long as its within a reasonable driving time from Detroit (which this is), I'm in.

Sounds awesome to me Jeff.
The date last year worked pretty well with everyone going to Coastermania on friday and then CBuzz Con on Sunday. With Saturday good for Kennywood or SFWOA.
Indiana Beach woudl be a good Saturday place if we had it at GAM
Anyway my thoughtw would be the first of June last of May preferrably on a Sunday as SRM and Coastermani always start on Friday. CP and GAM are not that much farther apart then PKI and CP and that worked out well last year.
I can almost taste Viper right now.

Actually, MagnumForce....FWIW, I am one of those that absolutely fears the crowds at the "big parks" on Saturdays. (OK, I know KW isn't exactly a "big" park, but we already had a couple thousand miles under us at that point). But what DID work out JUST perfectly was that the Great American Amusement Park at LeSourdesville Lake (I still like the moniker GAAPALL, lol) was open that Saturday, was CLOSE to PKI, and that Scrrechin' Eagle was operating for the first time again (kinda like a "reborn virgin"). That was AWESOME....
IB is a good place to go ANY day....
edit: Don't "taste" Viper, the arsenic is bad for you....

It won't be the same weekend as CoasterMania, because I'm hoping to do BeastBuzz at PKI that weekend. Haven't had specific discussions about that just yet other than to say "it's on," but that's the weekend we're shooting for. Of course, CP hasn't officially given a date for CoasterMania either, and I can't get into the tentative date just yet.
Sounds like everyone would enjoy SFGAm for this year, so I'll get into some more specifics as soon as I can.

I know nothing is final yet, but I'm really thankful that you're going through the trouble to arrange an event like this. (again)
No way in hell am I missing this. :)

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.
Yeah, I'd prefer it if you could do it when Kennywood is closed so I could actually go.
How does February 23rd sound to everyone?

WOOD: It does a body good.
I'm supprised SFGAm is going to do that. They haven't been the most supportive to clubs in the past. Maybe this could signal the start of a change...? Well count me in.

My birthday's the 26th, so that sounds pretty good to me!
The earlier in SFGAm's operating schedule the better, so long as S:UF is finished.

Oh sure, we do in February, and we could really get the airport theming going during the winter months on the new B&M Flyer. We could have the ride-ops act as airport de-icers as they de-ice our frozen bodies before flight. :)
I am going to assume that Jeff has a leg in to possibly make this event happen at SFGAm because he knows Susie Storey(Public Relations Director of the park).

The only way I know Susie is that she used to work for IAAPA, it's not like we went to college together or are cousins or something. ;)
We'll need 50 people to book the event. I don't think that would be a problem, as we had more than 70 at PKI last year, but what's the count so far?
