But anyway back on topic:

Anybody in their right mind would rather have Millennium Force and TTD close by instead of Apollo's Chariot and Alpengeist. You can do everything at Busch Gardens in less than an hour then your ready to leave and hit up Ohio for a full day of fun.

Some times I wish life was like survivor, where I could vote people like this out of life.

Yea Earnhardt2 you would be the first person voted off!
LOL then let us take a vote!

but this isn't coaster related... so I would like to see a giga coaster there... or maybe something unique and new like IJ:ST.

They need about 3 more big attractions in the Drachen Fire section.
Eh, by this time youngsDUHd98 is just trolling for attention. Feed him and he keeps coming back.:)
Well I plan on visiting BGW this summer for the first time. And youngstud98 do you know anyone who even pays gate prices for tickets anymore?
I'm going in with my SW San Diego Pass taking my family where my non-riding husband will have plenty to keep him occupied.
I live 20 minutes from Kingda Ka, been there,
done that, going somewhere new on vacation *** Edited 6/1/2005 12:59:31 PM UTC by RedLaFrance***

But that is enthusiast thinking to me. When did people stop going to a place they like really well because they don't get anything new?

I'd guess that happens quite often. Proof would be, as much as I and everyone else liked Opryland, most everyone I know of (friends, family, co-workers, even people I hardly know that I've spoken with about it recently) went from visiting Opryland several times a year, to going once a year, or even every few years at a time. My family did the same with MSAP.

As far as the 'enthusiast thinking', I don't think there're any set rules when it comes to enthusiasts and the GP, and the fact that some ethusiasts might not visit a park because of coaster selection, there are GP that feel that way, as well as enthusiasts that would visit just to get a coaster fix even if it meant riding a park's only coaster, that they may have ridden a thousand times. Everyone's different. The family I went to BGW with aren't enthusiasts and basically feel the same way that I mentioned in the previous post.

I agree with dexter that the only real negative thing I could say about BGW is Roman Rapids. I just hope they never get rid of BBW.

Well anyway they need a new coaster anywhere in the section of their park even if it means making more room. But the Drachen Fire area is perfect for this situation.
BGW is pretty much a boring park and if anyone finds it to be fun then your just a boring person! Drachen Fire area is so perfect for a launch coaster but BGW would be to scared to build one because like I said before, they already have 1 strike against them. Lets hope BGW gets some courage and makes it happen because the park needs something more than silly Darkastle!

Bla Bla Bla! I want attention! FEED ME!

Based on many of my past posts here at Coasterbuzz, usually when I post something, the thread dies... so maybe that will work with this one! :)

Being objective, BGW is quite possibly one of the best "theme parks" in existence today. The park is beautifully landscaped, has some truly world-class rides, and their live entertainment ranks as some of the best I have seen outside of Disney. While it has been changed since my last visit, I remember the old "Enchanted Laboratory" show in Hastings which was my favorite show in any amusement park. I had seen that show at least 6 times and every time it was just as good as the first time I saw it. The only "negative" I can think of regarding BGW is that they removed the greatest Mack Sea Storm ride I had been on... but since it was for a good cause (Apollo's Chariot), I am not going to complain! I have a feeling that no matter what BGW does in the future, the park will continue to be a success... with or without a new coaster.

...Busch needs a ride like Kingda Ka or TTD. I say put it where Drachen Fire used to be!

Okay, Shirtless Surfer; DF was removed partly because of it's poor location. Put a new ride there and it will have the same chance to fail as DF.

Ummm...With all due respect, of course.

EDIT...You disrespect all of us when you post here. Phrases like, "anyone who thinks...(bla bla bla)...is a boring person" are just plain disrespectful. This is a discussion board, not a place for you to get the attention you never got as a child. I, with a few exceptions, respect everyone here.

You are a moron and a troll. You have no place here on CB and I do not consider you a valuable member.

Can I feed the troll poison?

I am someone who lives in Tampa and regularly attends Busch Gardens, Universal, and Disney...

I have visited BGW twice in my life and can't wait to go back...

This "Theme Park" Is brilliant.... I love the coasters there... I enjoy The shows and restaurant...

This is a Theme park.. not a Amusement park.. There is a huge difference.. They save money to get good rides later on.. (in 3 years..)

while amusement parks build every to every other year and try to survive....(Most Six Flags are this way..)

I would never put Busch parks in a category with Six Flags...

I made the trip to Virginia last summer with a friend and was able to visit both BGW and PKD. Though both parks were great fun, I was much more impressed by BGW than I was PKD. Busch pays attention to every last detail and keeps the park spotless, well groomed, entertaining and top-notch. I would put it this way: I enjoy PKD, I respect BGW.

I enjoyed more coasters at BGW than I did PKD (disclaimer: PKI is my home park, so FoF, almost Shockwave and almost Rebel Yell were repeats), which says something of their great four coasters. Since I love B&M inverts, the only two I've ridden are tied for my fav coaster (Raptor and Alpengeist).

I have to give PKD credit though: Grizzly was a GREAT ride, and Volcano was very fun. Props to PKD for those additions.

Youngstud98, feel free to state your opinion regarding a park or a ride, but give others credit for their opinion as well. I personally wouldn't blink if CP took down Magnum (save it's historic value) and replaced it with a nice B&M floorless, but I respect the MANY here who love Magnum.

Would I like BGW to add a new coaster? Sure! But calling them boring for not adding a big ride every year is like telling Holiday World that their food should be free too.

Honestly, I don't like the way youngstud98 is posting, but I sort of agree with him. I have been to PKD well over 100 times, and I have been to BGW 2 times (once before and once after Drachen Fire) and I am not real motivated to go back. Theming accents a park...it does not make the park. The park is beautiful, but so is a free hike in the mountains. The food is good for an amusement park, but I can get much better at a restaurant without paying admission. If only they could move AC and the flying carpet to PKD, I would be very happy. Those rides rule, the rest of the park is 4 stars on the dress up, but average at best on substance.

Yes, I do think they need a new coaster.

Finally someone who knows the truth like me. The flying carpet is the flying machine right? In my opinion AC is BGW only good and fun ride. I also love going to PKD mainly because they have a water park and alot more coasters. I love XLC and Volcano. I would never give BGW my money to look at all the pretty flowers LOL.
^ No, the Flying Carpet would be Da Vinci's Cradle, manufactured by Zierer.

Ray P. (trying to lend some educational value to this thread)

I'd rather look at flowers all day then ever ride XLC again. Worse coaster ever. Biggest let down ever!

Thanks,
DMC
