Busch Gardens Williamsburg Future?

The only thing BGW "desperatly" lacks is a woodie. I would hope that management of this park would decide to capitalize on the new-found love for wooden coasters and built one for their next major attraction. But for now just enjoy curse of darkastle and their small but amazing lineup of coasters. 50 bucks for busch gardens, Ha. Who's driving?
Busch's 4 coasters are worth about a $5 admission price. $1 for each coaster and $1 for Darkastle. That's a fair price for non thrilling attractions!
Hey I'll pay the $50 for another day like I had 2 years ago today. Awesome coasters(LNM, AC, BBW and Alpy), great shows(Octoberfest and the one in Italy still stick out in my mind), nice flat rides, water rides that downright SOAK you and some pretty amazing attractions(Corkscrew Hill, Goosebumps add to these DarKastle). I'd spend $50 for a day there anytime.

Watch the tram car please....
I think a few people in these thread don't understand that Busch is a theme park not an amusement park Where there gonna slap in an new ride every year. Every ride that goes into the park is well though out and put in to fit the area its going into. I really wish they would get a woodie, It would be awesome but you know what. Even with out it and its 4 coast collection I go back every single year. Why because the park is truly something special. Theming and shows and food.

And if they did steal MF from CP we would hear CPFanboy crying to the moon about it.

Thanks,
DMC

Busch doesn't believe in taking any risks in building rides thats why the park is constantly behind ALL the other parks!

Behind all the other parks? Somebody has never looked at the golden tickets or for that matter any other poll (and I'd also assume park statistics for attendance).

But everything is okay. Make sure you don't go back so that you won't be there when I go:).

Busch not taking risk? I know we are talking about BGW but what about Shikeria at BGT? First dive coaster in america.

Thanks,
DMC

Thing is, the locals will continue to go, even if sporadically, whether they add anything or not. But with 4 coasters and not many other rides, many people that live further away that have already been and ridden them and have to take 2-3 days for a trip there will be less likely (not saying won't) to go unless a new coaster is added. I went in 2002 and would like to go again, but it probably won't be for quite a few more years unless they added a new coaster before then.

Funny someone said they don't have any looping coasters, when it can be said that half of their coasters are looping.

As for what they should build in Drachen Fire's place...Drachen Fire Lives.

But that is enthusiast thinking to me. When did people stop going to a place they like really well because they don't get anything new? I have been going to the Pavilion and Family Kingdom, which don't get much in the way of new often, but I go there a lot. I love both places, and even if they never get anything new, I'll drive the 6 hours to go.

Come on, Tekno: You haven't seen the tons of people mobbing Guest Relations complaiing how the park and all the coaster sucks, and demanding that the park lower admissions to $5 and put in a "real coaster"? It's the same group that goes to the other parks rioting how all wooden coasters suck ;)

No, I've never actually been to BGW...yet ;).
Do yourself a favor and never visit BGW! You will leave the park 2 hours after arriving and you will be mad you visited!
Do US a favor and stop trolling.

LOL Peabodies is a teen night club in va beach!!!
The only ONE minor thing I don't like about BGW is their rapids ride. It's very short and uneventful, imho.

I haven't been in in years, because it's a good 8 hours from my home, but it's on my wish list. It's been on the list the year after my last visit.

Escape from Pompeii is GOOD? Yea if your 10 years old and have never been on a coaster. Busch managemant is scared to build a "REAL" thrill coaster because they already have 1 strike against them due to Drachen Fire. Busch doesn't believe in taking any risks in building rides thats why the park is constantly behind ALL the other parks!

As someone who lives less than 1 hour from the park, who went this past Friday, I have to demand for you to give me your home address so I can beat you with something. If this same mentatlity that you think BGW has is real, then why is Disney still operating DCA and BTMR? Should Alton Towers just crawl into the fetal position because the locals want their rides quiter? If you want more coasters, there is a park called PKD to the west. Go, ride.

Big Bad Wolf blows ALL the other Arrow suspended coasters out of the water. Yes the park is expensive to get into, but they are one of the best parks I have been to. It's a theme park and thier themeing and shows are top notch. I really like the atmosphere of the park. They take execellent care of their coasters too. I have never seen such well maintained coasters!

Now this isn't my favorite park, but they sure do have a lot of things right. Great shows, great employees, clean park, well maintained rides. If you don't like it don't go and make the lines shorter for me. :) I enjoyed my time there!

Or it's the name of a Museum in Boston, a conservatory in Baltimore (where I got my masters degree), a smartass dog in a cartoon, etc. What's your point?

I still think they need to turn Drachen Fire's site into a large children's area with a kiddie coaster. Noise ...wouldn't be a problem.

Have you ever been around a large group of children?! ;-)

No further explanation needed. I'm hopelessly lost.
Peabody's is also a really, really crappy concert club in Cleveland.
I gotta say that BGW lived up to ALL of my expectations and then some when I finally got to visit last years....IT ROCKED MY WORLD!
PDF and SFA were *extreme* let-downs after BGW. Eventhough they only have 4 coasters, they are all INCREDIBLE, and all unique. What they lack in quantity, they make up for in quality, and I like the park more than Cedar Point even.

I think it's fortunate he park removed the one reputed suck-a-roo coaster, Drachen Fyre. As they say "You can't have Arrow without 'Ow!'." But I'm happy to see that Nessie has held up so well after all these years.

Anyone who lives near the park should consider themselves extremely fortunate to have such a treasure nearby.
