Bob Chapek Interview: "We have much more demand than there is supply"

Did you weld the plates to the car???

Nah. The bolts were rusted solid 160,000 miles later.

Custom plates?

Sucks.

I’m disappointed. I expected you to have DRGNWGN.

Hahahaha... I do have a blue Model 3, but that's not me. I've got a battery, which with any luck, will work when the power goes out. ****'s about to get real here, even in Orlando.

I'm flying to FLL tonight. Wish me luck.

To be fair (ahtobefaaaiiiiirr) if we assume this is a recent pic, the dude could very well be loading up for his portable generator for that exact reason. Certainly cannot fault him there other than say he should have bought an F-150 Lightning. (It can power the house in an outage with the right setup)

True, but if it's a long term outage then you run the risk of running out of electricity in your house AND having no transportation.

I'd save the Lightning home charge for emergencies/short term and rely on a generator/storage system for things like what may happen in Florida.

I don't understand this myth that gas is in infinite supply during a disaster but electricity is not. They both have interruptions, but at least one of them can come from the sky. That, and where the hell are you going to go after the storm? It already went down. There's no where to go.

Not sure if it is statewide but down here all gas stations must have generators. After Wilma getting gas was an issue because that law wasn't in effect and many stations, without power, couldn't sell the gas.
