I hesitate to put Sea Dragon (Wyandot Lake) in there because I hate comparing small JR coasters like this to their big brothers. At any rate... it would fall somewhere between Rolling Thunder and Predator.
TX Cyclone, for having only the one set of night rides, ranked higher...even with horrendous trains the tracking was *superb* and the ride delivered SERIOUS airtime.
Viper from GAm, very smooth and tracks well, and I've had a couple of rides where the air WAS there, but the best rides on Viper didn't stack up against the other two for sheer intensity...
Boss, DO ride in the front, the layout is a bit on the twisty side and the back seats get the worst of it. The front-seat ride *definitely* showed why some people have it in their top-10.
Wild One....yes, it tends to be sluggish, but when it's MOVING, you can "feel the Schmeckness"...
Roar! Wow do I need the NorCal version...slightly taller and faster than the beast in the East, AND with c-punk's special trains....GOTTA get more Roar!
TX Giant...sure, I've heard the complaints of roughness....don't believe it. If you like INTENSE wood and can take some "jostling", I think it's the biggest woodie I'd put in my top-10 (and it's actually in my top 5, LOL).
Thunder Run...when it was running at its best (post-SRM event '02 I think it was)...it deserved to be that close to the duo at HW. Please note: It's the only one listed here that doesn't have a second train... ;)
Villain's first rides for me, at SFWoA, would've put it here...it's still intense, and a really good ride, but has gotten *considerably* rougher since then. Taking into account the fact that it's been "repaired", I have to wonder how bad it had gotten. The real coaster at that park, though, was...and is...Dipper. John Miller goodness, yummmm!
edits: Screamin' Eagle, SFStL....good, fun, pure John Allen. An excellent family coaster, one step up in intensity from Judge Roy...
SFNE Cyclone...I *really* wanted to get in some more laps. Alas, it was closed. The one lap I have gotten was pure instanity...and I loved it. Back seat ride...:)
