Best SIx Flags Woodie

1. Boss
2. Thunder Run
GA Cyclone Fools.

On a non-cruddy day anyway. For anytime riding, it'd be Thunder Run or Viper(SFGAm)

Chattanooga needs a ITG2 Machine!
This is hard for me considering that I don't really consider any of the 6 flags woodies to be very good.

My favorite is probably is Villain, then tied for second would be Viper and Texas Giant.

The Worsts are definately Mega Zeph, Colossus.

My SF Top 3 are The Comet (TGE), Roar east and SFWOA's Villian. I rode SFNE's Riverside Cyclone last summer and someone has to pay me big to ride it again.

You won't see me coming...

Roar & Wild One @ SFA, Viper @ SFGAm, & Thunder Run @ SFKK are the only wooden coasters I've really enjoyed at SF parks. The Twisted Sister I rode was okay, but not great. *** Edited 8/21/2005 7:11:15 AM UTC by TeknoScorpion***
Greezed Lightning a woodie? Since when? I thought it was a shuttle loop.
Ooopps...I ment Thunder Run. All these darn storm coasters get me confused. I mix those 2 up all the time.

There are NO good SF woodies anymore.

Besides, who decided this topic was a good one to unearth? Rejects from Westcoaster? Where the hell's a mod when you need one? ;)

MONSTRE - LA RONDE
Hands Down!

The Texas Cyclone, the Boss are close runners up!

o!

My picks are:

1. Texas Giant
2. Georgia Cyclone
3. Thunder Run
4. Viper (SFGAm) *** Edited 8/22/2005 1:43:13 AM UTC by Railblazer***

Thunder Run
Wild One
Texas Cyclone
Texas Giant (in the front car)
1. The Boss
2. Wild One
3. Thunder Run
4. Roar(SFA)
Thunder Run, Kentucky Kingdom. Three reasons :

l. It's Unique. it certainly isn't your basic out and back or pretzel or other oft repeated layout.

2. It's the Most Valuable Ride for its own park. That is, it is the reason people travel to KK. (Chang is apparently the second most common reason they go there, and there aren't any other reasons. No one goes to KK for Twisted Sisters, Greezed Lightning, the rafting ride or the wheel, although it's a great wheel.

3. Second for second, it's competitive with any coaster out there. Of course, others are longer, but on its own terms it competes with any rivals.

I like Wild One at SFA. It has a nice layout, usually doesn't have reall long lines, and has great airtime. The ride ops. are also usually a little quicker on this.

CP was amazing, going back next June to ride Maverick

I know there are exceptions, but generally Six Flags and good woodies don't go together.

Often some of the best woodies (Texas Cyclone, Colossus, Rattler to name a few) end up being tamed and trimmed to boredom.

The ones that don't are often not maintained well and end up rough.

And of course, there are some coasters that were just built UGLY.

SF should be proud of their good woodies, though they don't seem to be building them anymore. Lets hope they build a good one at SFGAdventure.

Not ranked, their all great: Roar at SFMM, Texas Giant, The Boss, Collossus at SFMM, Georgia Cyclone and the Viper at SFGA.
