as for my vote .......
Woodies - Thunderbolt, Raging Wolf Bobs(yeah you heard it! If you think about its layout is really cool. Its placement also makes it look massive and powerful sitting way far away from the rest of the park)
Steel - Steel Dragon 2000 , Drachen Fire , and dare i say Vekoma SLCs

Nemesis at Alton Towers has to be the best looking coaster, cos its in this big hole, with blood, well red water anyway running down all the rocks and B&M's inverted track looks awesome too, mind you Oblivion is quite a nice looking coaster i crapped myself just looking at iut never mind riding it!

ENG-ER-LAND!!
Even though S:UE at SFO doesnt have that much themeing I think looking at those spires is a pretty beautiful sight!
nemesis because it looks soo cool twisting in that hole they dug out.
Big Bad Wolf because of the bavarian village your in.
magnum because of the sharp twisting drop heading to lake erie.
loch ness because of the lake and the tunnel
PLease reread my comments above about 4 posts. I think everyone is missing the point here. Looks have nothing to do with theming in this matter of "looks". Consider its layout from the air!!!as if there was no theming around, just the track!!! MANY coasters have great theming but which ones have effective layouts that provide for cool aesthetics and a wild intense ride.
I think Medusa @ SFGAdv. is the best looking coaster I've ever seen. The colors are awesome and the layout is genius. It could use better theming though.
Mean Streak is the best looking coaster in my opinion.
What about the Boss!!!! It Has a great layout.
Dueling Dragons would be close without its theming but add the theming and it makes the ride incredible to look at.

#1 Steel-Incredible Hulk
#1 Wood--Timber Wolf
Mean Streak by far, now if only it was as good a ride as it is to look at.

right about now you are about to be possesed by the sounds of DJ MFORCE
No No No No No you are all wrong. Outer Limits:Flight of Fear is the best looking ride ever.
Don't worry i am just kidding.
Magnum Force is the name of a movie too.
SHIVERING TIMBERS!!!!
If only I had a panaramic camera!!!!
My vote for best looking roller coaster is "Texas Tornado" at SF Astroworld. The track goes through
four different color changes and the design marked the return to perfect circle loops (the make the ride very rough)!
dade747 - Taz's Texas Tornado is cool looking... track wise, that is (for Ron G).
I also like the compactness of this Schwarzkauf design. This little gem has to be one of the best looking portable coasters around. And loads of track too. I really like the lift hill... (It's a curved lift with motor driven tires instead of a chain). I did not care much for the different colors on the loops though. However, this coaster did not seem rough to me unless I were comparing it to a B&M. Unfortunately, I only got to ride the thing once. It broke down after I ran back to the entrance... :( Oh well, at least I got one ride!
I would have to say The hulk or dueling dragons.
if you take a look at sob from the top of the eifel tower it looks awesome!

WOOD RULES!

The best looking coaster is Ghostrider at Knotts Berry Farm.
Knott's Windjammer looks cool, but it's a Pain in the butt to ride.
Nemesis absolutely hands down!!!! This coaster looks phenominal. I think it's because of the fact that you queue literally 2 feet from getting kicked by the riders whilst whizzing through the vertical loop. Also the rivers of 'blood' and that AMAZING music. I know that this is more than visual aesthetics but the effect is absolutely superb!
