I think it would have to the be the B&M inverted coaster at Alton Towers, England. With its AMAZING theming and as it is in a trench it really adds to the looks and the atmosphere.
That would be Nemesis. Local height restrictions on structures forced Nemesis to have a relitavely small lift hill, and be more or less underground, turns out that makes it a fabulous looking ride.
SFMM's Colossus has a great look to it, now dwarved by Goliath's 2nd hill.

I like the colors of the mantis. I also like the Big Thunder railway. I like going through the parts that looks like bones sticking out of the rock, and the guy in the bathtub going around in a circle. I was very impressed by the sight of SOB. Of course, it wasn't open yet when I was there this year.
The swoop turn on the Thunderbolt is amazing, and the color scheme is pretty cool, too. Still, MF can't be beat for looks.
Dueling Dragons - Being greeted by two huge dragons at the entrance, seeing one fly by through the stained glass "window," walking through the dungeon, and finally seeing two coasters seriously duel! Those interlocking corkscrews are awesome. My favorite sights have to be on the actual ride: The illusion of near-collision at the double loop and riding fire dragon and looking down as you hop over the ice dragon barrel roll. Excellent work by Universal and B&M on this one.
I think either Alpengiest and Steel Force are the best looking coasters. Alpengiest is out in the woods and Steel Force spans over the entire back of the park.
Have you people seen Goliath at night? MAN, that gets the heart a goin! Something about all that neon green on the lift just makes it stand out like nothing else! The first turn is just as spectacular! I could look at that thing for hours...
I think Mean Streak for a woddie. And then a tie between the Mantis and Dueling Dragons for steel.
Mean Streak right after it has rain and the sun is shinning on it makes it look so cool!
The Best looking woodie is Collossus, I have never actually seen it in person only pictures and videos, but it takes my breath away everytime I see it.
Best looking Steel, Kumba
Mean Sreak, Possibly Son OF Beast!!!!
Im liking the looks of Raptor with that Cobra Roll and also that loop in it. I just think it looks sweet.

Hoody Hooooo!!!!
Although I'm a big fan of woodies for picturesque appeal, I am suprised that no one has mentioned the Incredible Hulk coaster. I havent seen it in person (12 days and counting....) but the pictures I have seen of the *massive* cobra roll are lovely!
The one I'm next in line to ride!
've been on Hulk 5 times.......best looking ride......The huge cobra roll is beautiful over the lake....sumtimes caused peeps to lose their hats into the lake.......the far end of the ride is nice too with it's twisted trackage
The best looking woodie is definetly seeing the Villain, at sunset, through BKF's loop going up the lift! (ill take your word for it joe!)
I also like the Mean Streak is one of the best looking coasters. Also Kumba at BGT looks very cool, you just cannot take a bad picture of that coaster.
i think most of you guyys are missing the point. I THINK the thread is asking which coaster layout looks the coollest, in other words disregard theming and landscaping. This is why mean streak is a good choice. Excellent layout. Think about how it would look from a aerial. atleast this is what i take from the original question
