Best Location for a new theme park

LONG ISLAND!
-------------
NITRO!
Florida or California or any year-long operation places.
Maybe someone should buy all of grand island, ny and build a theme park here. Wouldnt that be cool to have a whole island for a park? :)
PKI Is the Best:

Any park that we would start in Indianapolis would start off small scale but, if successful, would grow to accomodate the ever growing attendance

There are two other locations in Indiana that would be good for a new park I have thought of over the last couple of days

Nashville, IN: Already one of the best tourist areas in Indiana, known for the lovely fall folliage in Brown County State Park

Johnson County: Recent reports have called this area "The Fastest Growing County in Indiana" Not to mention I live there:)

Pepsi would probably do it, because they sponsored Camp Snoopy in Mall of America, and they get a ton of business there. Busch Gardens should build a park in St. Louis, because that is where the headquarters are.
Valleyfan:

By any chance do you have any contacts at either of these locations?

I wonder if we could sweeten up the deal if we could buy a used coaster(Yup I am thinking of Drachen Fire:)

Miami, Florida: Lots of people, but the closest parks are in Orlando.
Casa Grande, Arizona: At the intersection of I-8 and I-10, right in-between Tucson and Phoenix. It'd be open year round, providing extra money. The best Arizona's got is Castles & Coasters, which, quoted from somebody a while back, is "a mini putt course that just built a single loop coaster over everything to claim Arizona's only coaster. Tucson has what...Old Tucson, an old west movie themed park, where the shows outnumber the rides. The best thrill there is probably the Arrow Dynamics built Horseless Carriage car ride.

Internationally, there are tons of places though. Recife in Brazil, Naples in Italy, ANYWHERE in China, Australia, etc.

I wonder if that Castles and Coasters park would be willing to form a small "chain" of parks. We could help each other out. Just a thought:)

This is already in the works thanks to Cedar Fair and Soak City!

Dont dream it, ride it!!
How about Orlando? :) lol just kidding
in the bahamas that wold be a great money maker
i work in a city called Holland, New York. it is about 30 miles south of SFDL. and let me tell ya. you couldnt find a more open spot to build an amusement park. high in the mountains their is a low population with a house about every couple thousand feet. i found a perfect spot for a wooden roller coaster it starts up high and falls right down into a ravine perfect for a drop. give some money for some people to move out and buy their land and you got a big area for on big amusement park. you may say there is no business out there but trust me build a good park and you will get business out there.
Definitely Arizona!  Castles N' Coasters doesn't cut it.  If somebody were to build one North of Phoenix where it isn't quite as hot, it would be Money!  People out here in the Phoenix metropolitan area flock to any kind of Fair, Carnival, or Festival that comes through.  A Theme Park would make a killing.
The Caribbean!!
I'm actually surprised that no one has thought of/mentioned Charleston, SC.  You have all the elements you need.  The weather is very nice, and the closest parks are SFoG, PC, and IoA.. all over 3 or 4 hours away.  Plus it's near the beach.  I'm not suggesting SF come in, but a park like Holiday World or Jazzland would do very well down there.

I rode "X" and never went upside down.

Florida or New York-2 big money places
Florida or New York-2 big money places
Florida and New York- 2 big tourist destinations
I'd have to say a Paramount park in Indianapolis. (on account of the fact that me and my PKD-happy self are moving to Terre Haute, and the closest park is holiday world which is 1.5 hours away.)
