Best Coaster "Touches"

What happened to the water in the lake of DD?

The used-to-be trees on the Orient Express, and the night rides before the illumination. I Love Adventure Express, what a classic ride. The statues in the third lifts tunnel are an excellent touch. FoF is great as well (although the video can get old fast!).

WoF's Timberwolf used to have an eerie howling wolf sound piped through the sound-system, but I haven't noticed it the past few seasons.
How about Bell's Zingo's third drop diving into that great head-chopper tunnel with the Joker's face grinning at you?
Also kinda cool is Frontier City's Wildcat dipping 'into' the lake at the end with the fountains at the side.

rockinrodney you beat me to it- Frontier City's "dipping" and fountians are awsome. Anaconda has a similar effect on it's first hill (or at least it used to), but no where near as cool...

Also- SDC's Fire in the Hole has the rotating light and train sound- like a train is headed at you on the same track that you are on, head on.

How about those employees at Big Cheif's? They really add th the ghetto feeling of the coasters there (he he).

I haven't ridden this one, but I've seen photos Lagoon Park's Roller Coaster with sheep grazing next to it. It almost looks as if the coaster itself forms a pen around them. Okay, so it's not as exciting as having your legs dangle over a crocodile pit, but it's still a nice touch.

I love all the little toches at Parc Asterix. The polka-dot underwear on the statue of Zeus, the whole theme of the bobsled(not to mention the cave man paintings of the ride layout), and the French kids holding their head in agony when coming off of Goudrix...lol.

If Milli Vanilli fell in the woods, would someone else make a sound ?

I thought the entrance of the Boss was really cool, with the double helix and the huge ride in front of you that increased the anticipation of the ride.

I also really liked the tunnel effects of Demon at SFGAm

I thought Adventure Express only had 2 lifts.

Phoenix's tunnel to the lift, Kraken's eggs, S:ROS at SFNE's red lights, and not a coaster but Dr. Doom's FearFall's pre-launch sequence.

How about Millenium Force's 3rd hill at night, looking straight at the huge, bright, lit up structure of TTD?

The part on Big Thunder MT Railroad at DL where it looks like rocks are crashing down on the track ahead of you is pretty cool. Scared the hell out of me as a kid!

I've gotten the Point of life, and can now pass away a happy man!.......

If were imcluding non coasters, TR:TR wins this thing hands down.
Recently spotted on SFGAm's B:TR....

On the "Improving Gotham" billboards in the "park" section of the queue, it lists Walter and Claude's full names as "Designer" and "Architect" (although I can't remember which is which).

Up in the Batcave, they had Badnitrus' animation of SFNE's B:TDK playing on one of the monitors.

Nice topic. Some of my favourite touches, mentioned and not mentioned:

1. The mouths of the Duelling Dragons trains
2. The tunnel on Nemesis Inferno and the music as the train exits
3. The first part of BPB's Big Dipper going over the lake, up the hill and around the cupola
4. The archway on the Big One mimicking the Big Dipper
5. Hidden Mickey's on Disney rides
8. The queue line theming on Wild Wild West in Movie World Madrid
9. A lot of touches on Hex at Alton Towers including the Earl's robe in a painting at the beginning featuring on the final scene

The drop on Zingo into the tunnel underneath the building is superb. http://www.lonestarthrills.com/gallery/Bells-Amusement-Park-Zingo/bells_zingo012

The Enterance to Bell's is also a nice tough having to walk directly under Zingo!http://www.amigasat.clara.co.uk/2003/mystery/myst200.jpg

The double helix throgh a tunnel after the second lift hill on The Beast is one of the absolute best finishing touches to an actual Ride I have ever seen. especially since the "tunnel looks like an old covered bridge that may fall down at any second.
Okay, so it's not a coaster, but --

The single greatest "touch" I've ever experienced on a ride has been at Disney's Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Exiting the elevator at the end of the ride to a bellhop saying, "Thanks for dropping in," just makes me squeal with delight.

May the Schwarz be with you.

I guess I just like cool lighting on a coaster at night, so I really like MF's first drop lighting (especially when it flashes white kind of like a strobe light) and although I've never seen Goliath SFH in person, the pictures I've seen of it's lights look pretty sweet. I was also a fan of the real tires on TTD...it's too bad they're most likely gone for good with the addition of the extra seats.
