BeastBuzz info here!

Ah, I see it now. Sorry, I guess I'm not very observant.

Their war. Our world.
I just looked at the weather forecast for BeastBuzz. Wow! 77 degrees for the daytime high, partly cloudy, and only a 20% chance of rain for this Saturday. Could it be any more perfect?

A pancake breakfast may make the day perfect.

Edit: A breakfast would be great, but a midnight meal would be better. I was starving last year after ERT.

Me too. Although after three spins on Delirium without getting off, I almost got to taste dinner twice!

How 'bout pancakes at midnight? Mmmm!

LOL! Delirium will do that! :P
I am looking forward to riding the coasters at PKI. We are planning on getting there Friday afternoon, and staying until Sunday afternoon. The scavenger hunt should be a lot of fun.

I am looking forward to Delirium. My wife probably won't ride. She almost threw up on The Claw at HP.

You got that right coasterfantom2 :0)

Anyone have suggestions for something to do in Cincy on Friday night?

I've been looking around, but Cincinnati looks to be about the most boring city on the face of the Earth.

I'm not looking for 'enthusiast' activity. More along the lines of "There's a great bar/club here" or "Freaky crap goes on here, you should check it out" or "The girls at (fill in name of strip club) are really hot" - does Cincinnati even have strip clubs?

I already got gypped out of the Jacuzzi room because we waited until too late (read: today) to book rooms - Don't make me sit in the Marriott hotel bar all night paying way too much for drinks :)

Any suggestions are welcomed. I have a weekend sans kids and want to make the most of it.

Lord....

Well, thank you for your comments on my hometown-although, admittedly, you are pretty close to correct.

To answer your questions...no, there are no strip clubs in Cincinnati, however you will find a few on the outskirts (between Cincy and Dayton, and in No. Kentucky). From what I understand, these are not exactly "high quality" clubs, so I guess it's up to you if that's what you're looking for!

Otherwise, for something else "adult" to do...the Reds are in town, which is a lot of fun right now since they are doing well,or you can go across the river to Newport, Ky. There is an entertainment district there called Newport on the Levee (if you are staying out near PKI it's about a 20-30 min drive)that has restaurants, nightclubs, movie theater, Gameworks, Comedy Club and across the street is Hoffbrau House which is the German Beer Hall just like the one in Germany. This is the only one they have opened in the US.

There is a Dave and Busters out on I-275, about 15 minutes from PKI. There are all your typical chain restaurants, etc in and around where you are staying (since you said Marriott I am asuming you are staying at the one on Mason-Montgomery).

Hope this helps! Have fun!

Cool. Some decent ideas there - thanks!

Funny that you mention the Reds. I just went to a Pirates game this past Friday. It's the first baseball game I've been to in something like 13 or 14 years. We actually had a pretty good time there. The Levee thing sounds like it could be fun too.

We'll be at the the other Marriott for what it's worth. The one in West Chester.

There is an aqaurium at the Levee. I checked it out after BeastBuzz last year. It has some great tunnels that go through the water.

You can check out my pictures of it here.

But do the fish get naked?

joe.'s avatar
Yeah, you can even see their scales.
Pittsburgh aquarium has the "nudibranch", so I would say yes, the fish occasionally get naked. (And I lost $50 at the nudibranch display ... )

15 points goes to Impuse-ive for the nudibranch joke, but he gets 20 deducted for knowing that there is such a thing.

Gonch: If you do decided to check out the fish, ask for Stella... she's got huge fins. ;-)

5 days away...

I'm more of a gill guy myself :)

Aww now I'm down to $55 in the hole! Damn nudibranch! Can't live with it, can't live without it.

I gotta agree with Gonch, you can't beat a good set of gills ...

Tuna pancakes would be better than a good set a gills, but it does depend on the size of the gills. I once knew a marlin that had huge ones!
