I was just going to say the same thing, Sean. It looks like this is going to be an excellent event.

This will be insane! *starts weighing bringing the big camera...*
Sounds like a fantastic day at the park. I absolutely cannot wait for the Beast behind the scenes tour! Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
I maybe able to attend. I thought there will be an announcement from PKI for 2005 season. Does anyone have this information?
This is going to be an absolute blast. And I thought it couldn't get any better than last year's BeastBuzz..

Pinball and Coasters...Any Questions?
I'm with you joe..

Sean:

How intense was the hunt that you took part of. Was it one that casually participated in as you made your rounds in the park? Or was it an all out blood bath, complete with tripping old ladies, running through fountains, and stealing electric wheelchairs?

Neuski,

I don't know if intense is the right word.

It was a hunt where you physically had to do a lot of walking. For instance, one of the questions was how many steps are in the Top Gun line. Other questions had you sitting down and trying to think hard. I honestly had the best time I have ever had at that park during that hunt. It was on a Saturday as well. It honestly mad me forget we were at the park on Saturday.

As far as tripping old ladies, running through fountains, and stealing electric wheelchairs... since when did anyone need a hunt to do that? =:^)

I am not sure what the prize will be for the winners of the hunt, but let's just say there was a nice prize for the team that finished the hunt a few years back.

There will be medals awarded, and I believe some PKI stuff.

I'm all about scavenger hunts, but am unsure if my better half would want to run around with me. Maybe I'll just leave her in the lazy river for the afternoon.
what do you mean by "The behind the scenes tours can be physically strenuous". does that mean we are going to climb to the top of the loop on SOB or what?

The scavenger hunt is a great way to enjoy the park without enjoying the park. It keeps your mind off of the lines and the crowds and keeps you focused on the tasks at hand. It was a crowded saturday back at Coaster Camp. The hunt really helped to alleviate the frustraion of the crowds.

Last year it was really hot and you are going up and down hills and most of the path is rocky or dirt and things like that so that is what is meant by "strenuous" I believe. You DO need the water though. If it's anything like last year, it was HOT back there!

I just found out that my work schedule has changed and I will be off this coming Fri. and Sat., My question is since I have never been to a coaster event is this kind of thing fun to go on your own? I have been trying to get some friends to go but on such short notice I have had no luck. I haven't been to PKI since 2000 so I will probably go either way, but I just don't want to be roaming the park all day by myself. *** Edited 6/17/2004 7:39:49 PM UTC by madfancp***

I woulden't worry about that. It's easy to meet and spend the rest of the day with people here. The more the merrier.

Well, I'll be there :)
I'll be there also. *** Edited 6/18/2004 12:22:56 AM UTC by fusiondude***

Does the Tomb Raider tour include a ride on Tomb Raider? It would be nice to get one ride on it without having to wait in line. One less ride to wait for on a busy Saturday when you are trying to get everything in :) If not, thats cool. Still like the idea of these behind the scenes tours! This event is gonna rock!!

Certain victory.

I have a quicky question about the scavenger hunt: Will the scavenger hunt be an individual effort, or will we be in groups?

I'm so totally excited for this years BeastBuzz. This "backstage" tour of The Beast will for sure lead to some awesome photo opportunities. Last year most of us had no idea we were going on the tour of SOB so we were camera-less. :( Now we have the power of knowledge so we will all be armed and ready to go.
